Deck Description

**Deck is complete in my eyes, all previous comments and suggestions have been greatly appreciated. Still have advice? Please share!**

Average Goldfish: 6.466

Vampires! Who doesn't love them?

The idea behind this deck is to buff the vampires with +1/+1 counters until things become too much to handle for your opponent. Also, because of the way wither/infect works with -1/-1 counters, I have a feeling this deck would be an alright choice vs. those types of decks.

Deck discussion for [T2] Damned Bloodsuckers

I would consider Markov Blademaster, Olivia Voldaren and burn. Volt Charge is awesome with vampires and any planeswalker, proliferate. Burn is the best part of red so use it :). Also consider black control, Geth's verdict and Despise. Board sweepers in sideboard, whipflare, slagstorm, rachet bomb or Black Sun's Zenith. Surgical extraction in sideboard for sure. Also of the SoM dual land Blackcleave cliffs. Looks solid just wanted to give some things that I would consider in a vampire deck.

Alright, thanks for the tips. I'll look into it. :)

You've already changed it up and splashed white. Not that into disentomb, and Go for the Throat over tragic slip any day.

I splashed a touch of white for Sorin, Lord of Innistrad, and Archangel's Vault.

Looking at Go for the Throat, I think I shall replace Tragic Slip with it. Thanks for the advice. :)

The only cards I don't like are the rakish heirs, and to a lesser extent crossway vampires. I would consider thinking about Cruse of Pierced Heart or blood seeker in those spots. They are cheep cards (manna and price) and will force your opponent to make bad decisions. Just a thought.

Ahh, I did not see Blood Seeker when I was constructing this. Good idea.

I will not be getting rid of Rakish Heirs, simply because I love their +1/+1 counter ability. Void Charge can proliferate these counters, which is great, but not guaranteed. I just feel they're a great card to have to beef up my vamps that little bit more.

Removed 2x Crossway Vampire, added 2x Blood Seeker.

Likes: Blood seeker is nice and players rarely waste removal on him unless they are playing B/W Tokens or some other token deck. You have the correct number of BL Keepers and Olivia's so GJ there. I personally like to use Adaptive Automatons instead of Rakish Heir because he is easier to cast in a multi-color deck, but since you are using volt charges to proliferate it does make sense and I see what you are going for.

Dislikes: Everything else looks good except Curse of Stalked Prey. As tempting as it sounds to buff your creatures, it actually slows down your tempo. You really wanna use turn one and 2 especially to put immediate pressure on your opponents so they have to react to what you are doing. Speaking of pressure, you really do need more 1 and 2 CMC creatures. They give you a better early game, and they can help flip BL Keeper later during the mid game.

Suggestions: Take out both Curse of Stalked Preys for two Stromkirk Nobles (thats a card you really want 4 of). Also take out both Swords for Vampire Interlopers or Child of Nights. I know it's a flashy card but simple things like Child of Nights can really help you set up the win. They may not be as cool or fun but they are just as important to winning. I would also take out rakish heirs for Vampire Interlopers but thats just me (not really as crucial of a suggestion as some of the others).

Question: If you do end up insisting on keeping Swords in your deck, why not put Sword of War and Peace in the main board instead of Feast and Famine?

Duly noted, and advice followed. I merely added the curses & swords because I like them, but I understand your suggestions.

Thanks for the help. :)

I like what you're doing here. I think splashing white makes a lot of sense. However, the sideboard is a little concerning to me. You'll probably want to add in 2-3 cards for each type of deck you plan to play against. Also, try to avoid cards that hurt you in the process.

For example:
Memeoricide = Rip out Titans / Protection from cards
Nihil Spellbomb = Stop Frites / Snapcasters / Flashback decks
Ratchet bomb = Tokens
Corrosive Gale = Tokens / Delver / Giest

I completely agree with surgical extraction. That card is awesome. So many uses.

Another thing that sticks out to me here is lack of card advantage / card draw. You are completely dependent on your draw to with the game. Consider using Altar's Reap, Nihil, Desperate Ravings, etc to help get the cards you want.

Finally, decide on what turn you want to win the game. Are you going for turn 4,5,6 ? If so, maybe SB the O-Ring and add more burn?

Here's one I put together.... Haven't paytested yet though.

I followed your advice, and I SB'd the O-Ring and added 3x Altar's Reap. I feel like Altar's Reap is a great way to draw extra cards, as you can get a decent amount of tokens out with this deck, if you get a Bloodline Keeper out, and if not, you can get rid of something like Child of Night.

I also changed up the sideboard, and added some of your recommendations. Thanks. :)

Oh, I also added Evolving Wilds x4 as a way to get mana out of the deck faster, leaving me to draw more important cards.

Do you have an opinion on this?

something you could think about, falkenrath aristocrats, they may be 4 drops, but they are 4/1 flying hasters that can become indestructible, i use her liberally in my vampire deck, i also have my two drop slot as curse of stalked prey, just to increase the number of tokens per turn (generally my deck runs noble, curse, captain, aristocrat, dead or something close to that) I would say drop 1 bloodline keeper (4 is overkill) and an altars reap to toss a couple in then as far as the curses go, that's up to you, but here's a link to my vampires if you need ideas:
