Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=36865

you should never play this deck against anyone u like in any way. if you do, and it works, then you can never play this person again. when using this deck only use it on someone that should never be allowed to do anything ever again. walk up to the person and challenge them to a game of magic. they will probably get a big sneer plastered across their face and accept....before u move forward look them strait in the eye and say "i want to make a pact, we will see this match through to the end. if we can still draw a card then we will keep playing, no matter what" he or she will probably laugh and agree. shake his or her hand and seal the pact. then sit down at the table and begin their demise. this deck relies on the biggest combo ive ever come up with, but trust me, it will be worth it. play defense of the heart as quickly as possible. there r plenty of ways to retrieve it, and forbidden orchard to give the opponent enough creatures to set it off. when it does go off summon iona, shield of emeria and painter's servant. choose white and ensure that the opponent can never play a spell again. now that they r helpless, with only what is on the field to protect them, u can move forward with the real goal: to make sure they never leave the table. play magus of the moat, this will stop them from attacking ever again (baring they have no flying creatures) and if they do have flying then just wait and destroy them with iona. then play wheel of sun and moon and target the opponent. now they can never deck out. then play panoptic mirror and imprint savor the moment onto it. now for the fell swoop. play donate and give the opponent panoptic mirror and that is it. now the opponent cant play any spells. they cannot attack. they take turn after turn and cannot deck out. they cannot untap anything ever again. they are utterly helpless. and now for the masterpiece. you look across the table and smile. you say "well, it looks like i will never draw another card, you, on the other hand, can draw many cards. in fact, u will be drawing cards for the rest of you life, and can never play any of them. ill be seeing you." with that, stand up. give them a smile and a wave, and walk away, leave the cards exactly as they are. and leave the opponent trapped at the table forever, unable to do anything, unable to alter his fate, unable to live.

this is cruel and unusual punishment...but why not force them to mill everything back to their library forever (Grindstone)? At least give them something to do...

Evil EVIL idea.

Only problem I see with the infinite turns part of this is that the it is optional to copy the card imprinted on Panoptic Mirror.

Sorry to be the one to point this out.

And in response to the Enchantment going off to get Iona and the Servant, you happen to be playing a Vintage Affinity noob, and they cast Scale of Chiss-Goria, then with their three blue mana open, cast Quicken, then Transmute Artifact and get Krark-Clan Ironworks, then sacrifice 2 artifacts for 4 mana and cast Vedalken Orrery and play Black Lotus, then casting Channel for 19 with one mana left over to cast Manamorphose for 1 blue and 1 green, playing another manamorphose for 2 green of the colorless and 1 green and then another for 2 green then another, so you have 15 colorless 1 white 1 blue and 3 green, then playing quicken and reclaim on the Channel, then playing Angel's Grace with the white and a fourth Manamorphose to get 2 red, so they have 2 red 14 colorless, then cast 1 Lotus Petal and 1 Chrome Mox exiling a Fog to get 2 green, then play the Channel and get infinite colorless and play Seething Song, so you then have 5 red and infinite colorless and then casting Chromatic Star and getting 1 blue then casting Molten Disaster for infinite as you sit and crap yourself.

Oh. And I read the wording on Panoptic Mirror. It says that you MAY copy the imprinted card. But either way you can be merciful and kill them there, or like you said, walk away, and let them take turns until they die...or forfeit...

An interesting idea, but against control there are a lot of windows to mess up the plan... but surely you already know that, since it is relying on a somewhat bulky combo. If they were to meddling mage defense of the heart, for instance, then they'd have all the time in the world to save up mana to counter your nine-mana ionas when you CAN play them, while popping out baneslayer angels or something else awful (maybe Thopter Foundry and Sword of the Meek pumping out 1/1 flying helicopters >>;;) For a surprise though, this IS a mean way to beat someone. I don't know that I'd make them shake my hand and stuff, cause that's just not my style, I'd just use it on someone overconfident because it's a weird and new win condition. +1

i'ma gonna plus one this deck for audacity, but its something that can only work once (and not because their still playing god knows how long after) but because this is (at the time of post) an easy deck to stop.
You just have to see it coming. But with a bit of tinkering, it'll be one, f* up deck.

might i suggest using chronotog/stasis (gasp!) instead of panoptic/savor the moment. Just skip your next turn at the beginning of their next up keep (per chronotog) and nvr have to worry bout paying for stasis (since your not taking turns anymore) and they can't untap! stasis costs 4 so u can fetch it, and then just add an Ice Floe and you cant be dealt damadge, a couple of privilaged positions and nothing you have can be targeted so all thats left for them to do is give up or global desctruction. A few choice counterspells (counter bore?) can stop that easily enough. So could darksteel forge/mycosanth latis (everythings an artifact, everything you control is indestructable) but then your playing a completly different deck arn't you?

Just suggestions though! That ends up being a lot of really expensive cards to play (not just cash wise either) so work with what u got. I'll post my attempt of this concept later after work.

lol my mistake in the last post i forgot bout painters servent/iona, so you dont need the priviliged positions and darksteel/mycosanth at all since they can't play spells (silly me how could i forget that!)

but glacial chasim(the correct name for the card i was thinking of when i said ice flow)/stasis/chronotog solves the panoptic/savor problom (since you control the choice now) and keeps you safe from harm.

give it a try!

panoptic mirror lets you choose to copy the spell. he doesn't have to do so. if you can force him to do it somehow, then good.
