This is the latest in a long line of Rat Tribal lists I've been tinkering with for the last few years. Rats were the first tribal deck I was ever interested in, and I would love to be able to tune this list to be a little more efficient in a modern meta. I've always been a sucker for discard / sacrifice strategies, and any comments or tips regarding cards I might have missed, or numbers that could be changed (especially in the sideboard) will all be gratefully read and accepted!
In most hands, this deck should be on curve to both pop out small annoying rats in the first few turns or be able to control the opponent's hand with discard spells. Being able to take out creatures before they ever hit the field is really quite important, as the deck tends to completely whiff against flyers unless the Pack Rat + Lingering Souls package gets a chance to happen (not so much in the early game). After being able to stabilize the board, the main win condition is pump out as many pack rats as possible and swarm with everything.Waste Not is an all star in discarding anything, as there's nothing but upside to it, and gravepact can make short work of the field when small creatures and Nezumi Bone-Reader make it to the field.
