First modern deck ever (am 99% EDH player) so its based heavily on CoCo lists I read then I janked it up with Doran and his big butt friends. This is for semi-casual FNM etc but competative criticism and help streamlining appreciated.I didn't want just another CoCo deck, nor did I want a straight Abzan Butt deck. Lemme know how I did.Currently testing with wall of shards, thats a big butt for only 2, will it outpace the cumulative upkeep? we'll see. Also trying it with ensnaring bridges. Will prob just have one or two on the sideboard.Hitting Doran and Wall of omens nets 1 draw, 5/5 and 4/4 defender. Heirarch, Birds & Wall of Roots ramp & get to attack if they want, Heirarch pays for Spellskite if needed. Harbinger grabs Bosk, Temple Garden, Overgrown Tomb or DoranFiend hunter locks down but also attacks for 3etc.

Chief Questions:Wall of Omens or Wall of roots or Mix of the two?Wall of shards/other defenders even worth it? or should I go for things like Nyx-Fleece Ram, instead, that attack out the gate?Am I running too many non-creatures to even bother w/ CoCo?Enough or too much Ramp?was it a mistake to take out chord of calling?Am I neutering myself too much with Tidehollow Scullers/Fiend Hunters rather than thoughtseize/Inquisition and fatal push/path to exile?Cheers and thanks :D
