Main Deck (71 cards)

Sideboard (69 cards)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Mainly this deck along with its sideboard can win against any opponent unless they are specially prepared against a full on control and counter deck and probably even then. Haven't seen anyone that can prevail easily against this one without huge amounts of luck or a specailly prepared personal deck, or maybe a very quick rush deck. And I have been playing for almost 7 years with this build up.

What is the catch? - Mainly it is not always legal in every build up, like Standard or sometimes Extended (more info on that later) and you really need a huge sideboard for different opponents. But it is actually very easy and cheap deck to build against the huge cost cards everyone seriously weirdly loves to play with. And if you are smart enough to rebuild it according to the opponent, it is very hard to stand against.

Strong against? - Against every costly build up or control decks that require a few turns to do their combos with heavy cost cards. Most decks really.

Weak against? - A similar deck or a fast paced creature deck that can actually surpass the pace of your deck even with the extra mana or card drawing options. (believe me there are a few, maybe a really good sliver deck)

How to Play

How to play it? the main idea - At first the idea was to counter an opponents spells or resolve the effects backwards for 20+ turns and to finish them off with little creatures (yes i know sounds like an annoyance for everyone you play with) until I discovered cards like Azor's Elocutors. Then it takes only 5 turns to hold out.
Just keep your mana's handy for counter spells and even if you cannot counter a creature, send them back to their hand.
I know there are more improved ideas for counter and control decks, but it is not good cost-wise or mana-cost-wise. Other than that I'm open to new ideas.

Things to keep in mind -
- if you use more creatures, it is fine but keep in mind to use Thassa's Rebuff
- Spell Syphon is not legal in Extended
- The deck itself is not legal in Standard (I may add a Standard version later on)
- Consider rebuilding the deck according to the opponent (like adding Psychic Rebuttal against a red/blue opponent etc.)
- Keep minding the extra mana capabilities of the opponent and their counter capabilities as well (against blue opponents there is the card Last Word but I didnt include it unless the deck is going to play against itself)
- Exchange Disdainful Stroke with another if you are facing a fast paced low mana cost deck
- Never return a creature to someone's hand if you can tap it. After that return them to their hand it is more of a d*ck move. (Excuse the language)
!- And don't ever forget people will not like you or respect you at all for using this deck. They will be so very annoyed, almost always.
