Deck discussion for Boros Devotion

Not bad. IMHO, I would rather pay one more and have Magma Jet (for the Scry) instead of Shock, but I could understand it.

Have you had a chance to play test it yet?

Would you mind taking a quick look at mine? http://www.mtgvault.com/scottymandingo/decks/new-boros/

I played a few rounds online last night and it seems to do fairly well pre-sideboarded, struggles against the bant hexproof deck running around. Thankfully I don't seem to run out of threats.
Magma Jet is tempting and I'll have a to try a split with shocks. I found I used all mana most turns and the extra for magma jet seems a little out of reach. The temples have been amazing to fix draws so I'll try the split

So I tried magma jet and I didn't like it. It just seemed too expensive for what it does. I've added some banisher priests for the removal, it gives a body too which, so far, has been more relevant than scrying. Giving Gideon a go to see what he can do but will probably swap him out.
I also have a side board now. Definitely a work in progress, may move Elspeth main but that lifts the average mana cost too high, hence the extra plains, just in case.
