I saw a UW heroic deck place second at the Starcity Open in Chicago.(http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/deck.asp?deck_id=1244318). After I saw this deck I thought it would be a cool idea to put in some red for Temur Battle Rage and Titan's Strength. Was I right? Yes! I ran this deck at FNM on 7 Aug at Hero's and Fantasies in San Antonio and it went 4-1. I ended up making top 8 out of 22 players and went on into the top 4. We ended up splitting the prize since it was late and majority of us wanted to head home. Please throw it a like and if you have any questions, tips, input then let me know!
Play your creatures and then pump them up by targeting them with enchantments or buff spells to deal some hard quick damage. I've never done this in tournament play but just by messing around on the table top I've gotten a turn 3 win. Turn 1: Favored HopliteTurn 2: Enchant Favored Hoplite with Ordeal of Heliod or Ordeal of Thassa. Either one. Swing to put my opponent at 17. Turn 3: Swing with Favored Hoplite to get the +1/+1 counter from your Ordeal, making him a 4/5. Cast Titan's Strength on Favored Hoplite, heroic triggers making him a 5/6, the additional +3/+1 from Titan's Strength makes him an 8/7, then cast Temur Battle Rage to make him a 9/8 with double strike. It's a very fun deck to play and it's different than my usual control style. I'm not a fan of any of the control decks out right now and I'm having difficulty making a competitive one so I decided to run with this.
