Deck Description

This mono black deck is littered with kill cards. Mutilate to wipe the field, and a handful of nasty creatures for your opponent to deal with. The true power of this deck comes when the graveyards are full from your onslaught of kill cards. There are 3 ways to empty all creatures from all graveyards onto your side of the battlefield.

How to Play

Early survival is key as the deck is slow. Kill necessary creatures until you put up a defense or wipe the field with mutilate. Once you get rolling the deck gains momentum quickly.

Deck discussion for Grave Party

Wow this deck seems slow. Liliana and Rise of the Dark Realms both come on turn 9 (assuming you made every land drop)
Beacon of Unrest revives a single creature for 5 mana ;(
Mutilate should be maxed.

Desecration Demon is your first creature on turn 4 and that probably can't even block.

Early board clear and then swing big is a great idea, you might want to work on it a bit more to survive aggressive decks.
What do you do vs. burn, control or combo decks?

The deck is slow, went heavy on mana to help prevent missing a drop. The myr is a small attempt to gain a little speed and a early blocker if necessary. Burn decks will be a problem. The deck however was made for a free for all style game. 1v1 it has its flaws. I honestly wanted a way to use rise of the dark realms. I could swap to smaller faster creatures for early game but against something like a burn deck, I won't benefit from their graveyard. Any opinions on improvement is appreciated.

In mono black there really isn't much ramp. Some artifacts create mana but that still doesn't increase your board presence. If you are playing free for all multiplayer games then "politics" are very important. What can you offer to for others to cooperate with you or don't want to attack you?
A simple Vampire Nighthawk would stop most attacks on defense or gain life on offense.
Also fun is Abyssal Persecutor. A 6/6 flying trample that makes players not lose as long as he is around. Imagine some1 is below Zero life. That player is your friend for the rest of the game. (And you can always play e.g. Life's Finale and kill it yourself) See where I'm going here?

After playing this deck in a few casual games I have had decent success. A 3rd turn crypt ghast was devastating. It resulted in a life's finale wiping the board and Liliana returning all creatures back to my side of the field..at which point all my opponents quit the game.

Glad you like your deck. That's the most important thing. Crypt Ghast is great. Another card that came into my mind is "Extraplanar Lens". Works great in mono-basic land decks. If your opponents play swamps too you might want to swap to snow-covered swamps as an alternative.
