Budget: Prowess - Suggestions?

Deck Description

This deck is inspired by the existence of the card 'Brute Force': a red Giant Growth. I have been attempting to design a red deck that plays like a green buffing deck for a while now and this is my latest attempt.

I have been flip flopping on creatures. I used the elementals like Spark Elemental and Lightning Elemental but that didn't work. Then I tried to run creatures with Heroic and that didn't work, but it was closer. Next I tried sprinkling in Prowess and that was better.

This is the current line-up and none of it is set in stone, so suggestions are welcome.

How to Play

It's a basic concept: simply play creatures, buff them, and attack aggressively.

Bedlam Reveler is there for a midgame reset to draw the three cards.

Surreal Memoir and Flame Jab are there to be able to keep playing sorceries to keep activating your creatures (which all have the ability to be very aggressive with all the buff spells potentially flying around).

Deck discussion for Budget: Prowess - Suggestions?

Like I mentioned, this is a total work in progress and nothing is sacred. Suggestions wanted!

Thanks for taking a look!

Basically, you're lacking in combat evasion. The best "in colour" card I can think of is Apostle's Blessing, but other options include Madcap Skills; Rush of Adrenaline; and Rouse the Mob. You're also lacking in ways to refuel your hand (other than Bedlam Reveler) in the main deck, but you're running red, so that's difficult. You also want to consider adding 4 Mutagenic Growth, 2 life for +3/+3 (because of triggers) is worth it.

Also, I'd run a few less creatures in favour of more spells, allowing for more triggers and one more Bedlam Reveler. Creatures that can be removed for mana efficiency are Bloodfire Enforcers; Bloodfire Expert; and Pyre Hound. If you don't want to lower the creature count, here's some more mana efficient replacements: Blistercoil Weird; Abbot of Keral Keep; Mage-Ring Bully; Sanguinary Mage; and Tattermunge Duo. The Duo is interesting because it gains forestwalk from Mutagenic Growth.

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment, I had almost given up hope someone would. So this is another attempt I did yesterday swapping out a lot of the buffing for instants and sorceries that draw cards or get cast more than once to focus on drawing and activating all the creatures.

Is this spell list any better do you think or do you stand by your original suggestions?
