Deck Description

Oi bloody here, just revisiting some old lists, and testing and tweaking them again.

Although it might look like a janky tribal deck it's actually a "hard" controlly shell that tries to go off in the mid game after you've ramped a bit.

This deck is pretty hard to pilot right, you have to know when you can go off, what to remove and when to go all in with Devouring Greed. The easiest way to win whilst playing this deck is to beat in with your spirits, and drain with Thief of Hope then cast a Devouring Greed for lethal. If you must you can easily grind 3/6 life a turn (depending on the amount of Petalmane Baku on the field) you can always just grind people out with Hana Kami+Thief of Hope+Hana Kami/Death Denied/Soulless Revival. You can also easily "storm" people out by having a Thief of Hope on the field and a Distant Melody to just give the final push. And as final and last resort Shimmering Glasskite is a great beater that forces your opponent to 2-for-1 once it hits the field or take it too the face from then on out.

So how will this deck dig for the combo?, well it simply does not (outside of Distant Melody), since all pieces kinda synergize together we don't need any specific combo to win, and since we can stall out the game with Disowned Ancestor/Hana Kami/Soulless Revival/Death Denied we have plenty of time to find what we need to win (if we aren't already with thief of hope). Other than that this deck does filter a lot for land with 6 "fetches" 3 Kodama's Reach and 2 Elder Pine of Jukai, these "endure" that you wont get mana flooded, and it thins out your deck in the process.

The key to this deck is the redundancy, Hana Kami/Death Denied/Soulless Revival can almost get anything back from your grave (everything main deck outside of Distant Melodies) get Death Denied for 2 or splice Soulless Revival and you will be getting your kami back consistently. Ofcourse for that you'll need a lot of mana but I already explained how this deck filters for land, besides that it isn't unusual to have 6 mana stored in Petalmane Baku.

Overall this deck works great, it's consistent, under the radar, pretty good, and most important fun to play. You just gotta sit down draw a few sample hands and test against other to see when and where it is safe to go all in, "storm" off or combo off.
