Deck discussion for Spirit

As in every flying deck, Gravitational Shift is both budget-friendly and deadly at the same time.

Honor of the Pure, zealous conscripts, raise the alarm, Martyr of sands, are great and cheap!

As for the sideboard:

I would definitely mainboard Honor of the pure, there's just no point not to. Hero's downfall is solid but not all that great for sideboard, if you're looking for good spot removal might as well use doom blade or a slightly more expensive Path to Exile and I would mainboard that or tragic slip.

I wouldn't keep shared triumph in the sideboard because this deck is so close to being modern legal and good! Mausoleum guard isn't great sideboard material and not all that great.

I would add sundering growth for atrifact decks and Rootborn defenses against Control decks who use board wipes.

Garveyards are used a lot in Modern so Relic of Progenitus, Tomod's crypt, rest in peace, grafdiggers cage are all cheap, good and legal in modern.

For Affinity decks (decks that use a lot of cheap artifact monsters) I would add Stoney silence

You could also mainboard beckon apparition

If he runs any graveyard lockout, Sorin's ultimate becomes useless.

Do you even magic? I'd rather have a sorin ult being useless than snapcaster mage lightning bolt, gifts ungiven decks, or any graveyard based decks out there. You have to look at the bigger picture, sorin makes emblems which are amazing and tokens that gain you more life, the ultimate isn't what makes a planeswalker good

Do you even polite conversation? I made a statement of fact, not a comprehensive rebuttal. You're right that losing Sorin's ultimate is small peanuts, but overlooking a deck's self-limitations is as important as knowing its strengths.

What was that about me being useless?

I'm assuming the only reason not to have Geist of Saint Traft is the $?

Why is favorable winds in your sb?

I used to main board it but now I run Gravitational Shift

Better take a look at Gavitational shift, ALL flying creatures get +2/+0 and ALL creatures get -2/-0. Favorable winds is a better mainboard piece than Gravitaional shift, reason being, this is a aggro deck with an already high mana curve, only your creatures with flying get buffed. With GS, Twilight drover and Geist honored monk become worse as does tokens made by sorin and so does doomed traveler.

Personally this is what I would run

thats how I used to run it because I still dont know if its worth to use GS is worth because it makes all of my non flying guys weaker

Exactly and your opponents fliers stronger, a 5/3 vedilion clique is nothing to scoff at

and it also slows down my deck since its a 5 drop instead of a 2 drop

I'd cut sorin personally. Doesn't seem like he does much for this deck. Maybe add in a couple more honor of the pure instead for better chemistry and a more aggressive curve.

Some removal (path to exile, go for the throat, oblivion ring/detention sphere, etc.) would help this deck a lot too imo.

I completely disagree with that comment. Sorin produces his own honor of pures and lifelink tokens. He fits perfectly.

It fits better now that gravitational shift has been taken out. Still doesn't interact particularly well with drogskol captain, honor of the pure, or favorable winds. It's not terrible for the deck, I just think there are better options.

I like him in there I can make as many emblems as I want and they stack and cant be remove from field an unlimited supply of tokens and I can remove your stuff and keep them for myself
