Deck Description

This is my GW indestructible -modern legal- board wipe deck, the 60 card deck is my budget version as I'm on a budget with my decks, the sideboard isn't a real sideboard obviously and instead is some alternate cards I'd use if I wasn't on a budget.

The idea is pretty simple ramp to predator ooze turn 2, and from turn 3 onwards clear the board with the board wipes.

Primal command was a surprisingly good card, it originally went in only as a budget descion as its a ton cheaper than summoners pact, but it has a pretty good back up mechanic, the 7 life has come in handy on a bunch of occasions but mostly being able to give the opponent a useless draw is pretty helpful.

Geist and young wolf are obviously back ups for not so great starting hands, they serve 2 purposes, they will help to put up a defence temporarily while u get mana for ooze or a board wipe, plus on offense I can't say how many times I've had 2 or more geist on the field wiped the board and driven my opponent in to the ground with a quick 9 damage

This deck started very differently and has changed a lot, but i like the idea of wiping the board and having creatures remain. and i wanted to create a deck that was fun and strong, i like the version it has become. The 4 evolutions are listed below - if you dont care all that much (thats genuinely fine), The other links are more because its interesting to me to see the evolution process of an idea, so on the off chance someone likes the final version they can see the process.

Version 1 - http://www.mtgvault.com/caantpayrent/decks/red-bombs/ - This was the first version of the deck - fun to play, just a few to many situations where my creatures couldn't hold up.

Version 2 - For a moment it became - http://www.mtgvault.com/caantpayrent/decks/triple-bombs/ - but similar to the problems in version 1, just a little to messy trying to set up win conditions

Version 3 - then it became The indestructible Knight deck - http://www.mtgvault.com/caantpayrent/decks/red-hot-iron-knights/ - when it came together it was strong, probably a bit bigger on offense then this version but over all was a little to fragile, and just to often id have weird combinations of creatures with no chance to win

Version 4 (hopefully final version) - so it became - http://www.mtgvault.com/caantpayrent/decks/green-white-indie-burn/

I've been testing the final version, and i'm really liking the deck so far.

How to Play

Turn 1 - llanowar or birds of paradise
Turn 2 - predator ooze
Turn 3 - either play geist or wipe the board if need be. Start building ooze
Turn 4 - primal command, sapling or board wipe. Build ooze up
Turn 5+ - rinse, wash, and repeat

Deck discussion for Green White indie burn?

I've tested this deck a lot, it. Genuinely is a fun deck to play. It's deceptively strong, even more so than I imagined when I first put it together.

Hey i saw your comment on the golgari butler ,just now sorry i took so much time. but yeah its pretty much what you said i looked at your Green White indie burn deck and i think they are well matched but i think u missed the fact that i tried as low as possible mana cost to get a head start and fend of those pesky mono red decks.
Anyway it was an home brew deck and it seems to be doing what it is suppose to do and when i built it i originally tried to make the early game creatures as big as possible to "survive" as long as possible and eventually withstand the long run.

Thanks for commenting i really appreciate it a lot.
Sincerely

So, your idea is awesome. Your exxecution is a little lacking. So first, 4 day of judgement, 4 wrath should be good. Second, shocks and fetches in your land base. Cut the temples and sanctuaries for sure. Stirring wildwood is real nice though because it avoids your wraths. After that, swap llanowar elves and maybe caryatid for birds of paradise and noble heirarch. And then you've got one brand spanking original modern playable deck.

Yeah, that's what I was inferring in the deck description, I've gone for a cheaper mana base and cheaper board wipes, as the 60 card deck is what I have.... But the sideboard is for those who have a bigger budget than me. :)

Dang this looks fun to play. Primal Command has a lot of useful functions that surprised me.

Nice deck you have here. I don't think it's a big deal, but how about substituting day of judgement for wrath of god? if they have regenerate, it can get around day of judgement but not wrath of god. =)

yeah Wrath is a better card for sure, i was just trying to keep the deck under $50

lolol, That looks annoying to play against, in a good way of course. I'm always a fan of anything that will remove the agro elf decks #fuckelves

haha that made me laugh, yeah actually joshdog (http://www.mtgvault.com/joshdog/) and myself joke a bunch at our dislike of elf tribals, we understand why they're so popular but when you play casually like us they just seem annoying. cheers for the feedback

I like playing Predator Ooze a lot, one of my fav green creatures. Here are some cards to consider -

- Try adding Forced Adaptation and Hardened Scales into your deck, they are cheap and very effective with what your going for. This way you'll beef up your Ooze a lot quicker and give your undying creatures and extra counter when they come back
- Maybe a Seek the Wilds too for some card cycling for land/creatures
- Bioshift for some counter shifting
- Fleecemain Lion is just ridiculous, not indestructible straight away but once monstrous...very good
- Nylea God of the Hunt, you'll get the devotion and the creature buffing should help quicken things up

Only other thing I can think of is your temples and sanctuaries. They should probably go, you have too many lands that enter tapped n slow your play down even more, with little gain.

I like the idea of Bioshift or Hardened Scales...could both beef predator ooze and keep the undying around.

As i spend a bit more on this deck i'll swap out the slower cheaper lands for the lands in the sideboard, as i said up top the sideboard are alternate cards that are a bit more expensive, i was giving the options for those who are less broke than me lol. thanks for the card ideas, i'll work them in somehow :)

I'm playing an even more budget version casually for a while now. But instead of making my creatures indestructable I rather want them to die and abuse "Gutter Grime" combining this with "Elemental Bond" makes me never run out of gas late game.
As you seem to test many version this might give you some inspiration.

So I don't know if this is stupid or not, but you could consider golagari charm for the main...

Its uses are pretty limited but it gives your deck some more reach allowing you to destroy enchantments like rest in peace that turn off your undying, but it also gives you a turn two wrath against white weene decks. The "regenerate all creatures" clause seems rather redundant in your deck, only being useful if you have one or two undying creatures that have already been though a wrath or removal.

You could test this by reducing the young wolf to three and the elves' to three, this means that you have only 6 one drops in the slot.

This deck is super sweet already and it took a long time to even think to suggest this, so I understand if you don't think its worth testing.

Necrumlsice

In the grand scheme of things I really like golgari's charm, it's a useful card but main problem here is I don't have black in the mana base and it seems like it would be a bit clunky to add it

Yeh your probably right, the more nonbasic land you add, the more vulnerable to bloodmoon you become.

no idea how you couldnt get a win, it crushes its obvious flaw it white that target and exile but other than that...what issues did you have at fnm?

The deck is kinda slow, and you don't have much of a way to win, in a real modern scene I don't think it does pull off wins honestly.. I think I'd start shifting it into GW Aggro.. Like running voice of resurgence and wilt-leaf liege
