The LEGENDARY CONTROL DECK

by camtheman215 on 04 November 2017

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (9 cards)

Sorceries (2)

Artifacts (3)

Enchantments (4)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Your goal: get leyline of Singularity out, preferably before the game. This makes it so players can only have one of everything - besides lands - on the battlefield at once. This affects a lot of decks.... but not yours!

How to Play

Get insanely huge creatures out for cheap that only have a slight downside thanks to leyline of singularity

Deck discussion for The LEGENDARY CONTROL DECK

Its a pretty neat and innovative idea(and although it might be too competitive, it has the potential to be, whether now or in the future). Keep it up! +1

Hey I just wanna say I love your deck idea. I was like this deck is weird until I saw Leyline of Singularity, and when I did I smiled. What a great deck idea thats fun and fresh. The only thing you should do to it is make it have more draw power. +1

Leyline of anticipation with Hunted Phantasmal or Hunted Horror is a sick combo. Such a sick combo that I would recommend using more copies of it because its so good.

Yeah you're right

I would recommend taking out Dimir house gaurd for three more copies of Leyline of anticipation.

Ok I know what you can cut. I would cut out some copies of remand or mana leak.

yeah don't need this many counters

I would also recommend 8 island and 4 swamp instead of 6 and 6 because you want serum visions and your counterspells open to use.

Clever use of Leyline of Anticipation. Torpor Orb or Sundial of Infinite might be help in sideboard. I am definitely going to do a Legacy version of this deck.

WB instead of UB is nice for a tap-out midrange deck. Torpor Orb, Hushwing Gryff, and Tocatli Honor Guard offer enough redundency that playing Eater of Days, Hunted Horror, Dust Elemental, etc. becomes reliable. Disruption comes in the form of discard and path and your Torpor Orbs randomly hate certain decks out of even functioning (Counters Company, Hate Bears, etc.).

If you stay UB adding Torpor Orb seems like a necessary inclusion. Serum Powder is a janky thought to help find your nut draw. Echoing Truth can be generally useful and clear up tokens. 20 lands plus Remand and Serum Vision doesn’t seem like nearly enough mana to cast 3 and 4 cmc spells. If you had dorks or rocks it could work, but you would benefit from upping the land count. While Hero’s Demise is on-theme, without Leyline it’s doesn’t hit much if anything against certain decks.

Oh I also forgot to mention cards like Illness in the Ranks and Virulent Plague, which alongside cards like Forbidden Orchard, Hunted Troll, and Pain Artist can make for a good time.

ok definitely going to add in forbidden orchard. torpor orb will be good, but maybe only sideboard?

You're running blue black, if I were you I would take out the dimir house guards and put in some nice black removal. You're deck will need it. If you don't get singularity you'll want a go for the throat or like a dismember, fatal push, tragic slip etc.

Edit: I really like the remands, but I would take at least two out and put in spell snare. Card draw is good, but at least if you don't get singularity you have a way to remove stuff with a 1 drop answer. If you ever wanted to make it esper and splash some white path is also a great removal.

??? They are two completely different formats. This is Modern that is a Legacy deck.

Yeah because Phyrexian dreadnought is a legacy card so I had to make it legacy but I could have made it a Modern.
