Would this clear Mistcutter Hydra off the board since it doesn't actually target it?

I'ts important to know the term "target" itself in order to understand the difference between "for each attacking creature" and "target creature". A creature with protection from {color} cant' be target by a spell of that color or creature in combat phase. However, this card isn't targeting creature, it's a condition for every attacking creature during combat phase.
