I'm 99.9% sure I'm right here, but a more veteran player argued with me so I'm starting to doubt myself.
Scenario: Opponent attacks with a 5/4. I declare block with Brigid, then tap for the 2 damage, then her first strike hits killing the 5/4 without her taking any damage. 5/4 dies, I'm unscathed. Correct?
He's claiming if I tap her before combat damage occurs, then she doesn't deal any. That's crazy, right? Magic 101?
