No because the player is the target of the spell that makes you sacrifice

No, Progenitus can be sacrificed. Protection from everything means that it can't be blocked, dealt damage or targeted by spells of any color/colorless.

Still dies to day of judgement, supreme verdict, etc. as well. No targeting or damage involved

Lol, noobs, he does not have protection from sacrifice, all he has protection from is things that target him directly once he has resolved. Things such as all is dust can kill Progenitus, because it doesn't target him directly

If its sacrificed, as long as it doesnt get exiled, it still goes back into the deck from the graveyard.

(This is meant to be funny, I'm not really this silly) Protection from everything? Well, I guess he can't get boardwiped, because he has protection from instants and sorceries. He also can't be summoned, because he has protection from mana. He also can't be played, because he has protection from decks...

Lol I Have this card, it is so hard to summon though. And when it says protection from everything, plus its ability. The only way to permentantly remove it from play would be to exile it, as far as my knowledge of the game goes.

And when I say its hard to summon, I mean I draw it in my starting hand, and lose the game because it would sit in my hand all game. The last time I used it I only needed one swamp, couldnt get one because my friend had forced them all into my graveyard from the deck....
