Deck Description

This is a pretty simple mill deck. It operates similar to any modern Dimir mill deck, but I wanted to make this one to try out the jace's archivist combos.

How to Play

Oboro or flooded strand to trigger hedron crab
Minister of Inquiries, mesmeric orb, or shriekhorn to trigger fraying sanity every turn
jace's archivist and though scour to draw and trigger jace's erasure
ghost quarter to kill problem lands and trigger archive trap

EDIT:
Swapped Ghost Quarter for Field of Ruin to remove the "may" clause in the archive trap combo

Deck discussion for Archive Mill

I've been testing "field of ruin" It's a bit slower, but it does a much better job than ghost quarters overall.

That is a good idea. Removing the "may" clause guarantees archive trap. I'll give it a spin

Have you tried keeping track of how much jace's erasure mills during each game?
By putting in 4 paperstrips in the sleeves with erasure, and by putting coins on them each time the mill, you can write Down on the strips how much each Card mills individually. That way you can see if it wouldn't pay to play breaking//entering instead on the average.

No, I've never done paperstrips to track my decks. Honestly, I haven't even tested half the decks I make... I just like drafting up fun ideas. If I do build this in place of a Dimir variant, I'll test it better than usual.
