The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Your opponents spells, activated abilities and creatures all cost more mana than lands in the deck.

Sheep, Angels, Prison and Tithes control early creatures.

Angels & Prisons stop all attacks, Fields stop all activated abilities, Siege stop targeted spells and Enforcer & Tithe destroy permanents.

Copies duplicate best necessity, Angels prevent blocking then attack with Enforcer to win the game.

How to Play

24 Lands are the average for a Deck. Thats 6 mana per 15 cards.

This deck exploits that; by in the first 15 cards:
Attacking costs an additional 3 - 7 mana per creature
Targeting me or my permanents costs an additional 2 - 6 mana
Activating an ability costs an additional 2 - 6 mana
Casting a spell costs an additional 1 - 2 mana
Casting a spell targeting me or my permanents costs an additional 3 - 7 mana

Depending on aggro, control or combo I copy the best enchantment to prevent my opponents deck by quickly escalating mana cost to 6 or 7 per action they take.

Deck discussion for Mana Tax

Rhystic Study is the only card preventing the deck from being Modern legal, any suggestions for a replacement?

mmmh, nothing comes to mind right away. Ghostly Prison can be an alternative to Sphere of Safety if you want a earlier attack stopper (even if it's less effective late game)

another nice taxer is Spelltithe Enforcer, but there's nothing I can find like Rhystic Study

Thank you for the information, I like the card but dislike the new mana curve... I could replace Sphere with Prison and Rhystic with Enforcer. Same mana curve, card advantage by destruction instead of draw, an additional attacker with Angels and attack defense occurs earlier. Thank you, that might work!
