Deck Description

This deck was created with an insidious combo in mind: Army of the Damned (summon 13 zombies) + Impact Tremors (deal 1 damage to ALL opponents for every ONE creature you summon to the battlefield).

How to Play

Use the Typhoid Rats to scare away early swingers and the Fetid Imps for those pesky fliers out there. They also make excellent defenders for Mr. Obnoxious the Planeswalker.

Speaking of the devil, forget his -8 ability. Seriously, don't even look at it. Toggle your counters between DRAW (+1) and KILL ANY CREATURE YOU WANT (-3). Cull that deck, man, so you can get to the Army of the Damned / Dark Rituals as fast as possible!

Obviously, Dark Ritual and Vessel of Volatility are your primary mana sources. However, don't forget the Hardened Berserker's ability that makes it to where any time you attack with him you pay 1 less mana to cast your next spell. Also, I usually keep a Manakin or two around for some bonus colorless mana.

While building up your mana engine, you should be setting up this combo for success by:

1. Summon as many Impact Tremors as possible. The more the deadlier.

2. But make sure you have at least 1 Emblem of the Warmind out. The zombies summoned from Army of the Damned come out tapped and useless! This enchantment will give them Haste, so they can get to attacking right out the gate.

3. Try to field an Ambuscade Shaman. His ability will give your hasted zombies +2/+2.

4. Noxious Cloud is expensive but if you have an extra Dark Rit, you should definitely cast him BEFORE Army of the Damned. His ability will give ALL opponent creatures -13/-13 when you bring out the zombies.

5. Did that Blue friend of yours exile all of your Army of the Damned? No problem. I've included their discount cousins in this deck: From Under the Floorboards. If you can, discard this AFTER Faithless Looting and pay for its Madness cost instead. This will let you summon as many zombies as you can afford and you gain life for each one summoned.

6. Foul-Tongue Shriek costs only one Black, so it shouldn't be too difficult to play at least one of these when you summon your 13 zombie Army of the Damned. If you do, you'll gain 1 point of life for every attacking zombie, while the opponent will LOSE 1 life.

7. Use Demonic Tutor to fetch what you need and Faithless Looting and Evolving Wilds to cull your deck as you go. (Just be mindful of the combo mentioned in #5 before playing a Faithless Looting).

And that's it, folks! I love this super-illegal OP deck! Sure, it has it's flaws, but I've played against some serious gamers that fork out $80-120 on their decks and this deck has won several times. Not bad for a casual pauper. ;)
