Deck Description

This is the other half of the Battle of Sea Gate scenario - Gideon's alliance battling the innumerable, hungering sea of alien horrors in an attempt to capture Ulamog within a matrix of Hedrons.

A couple of things about this deck:

If there wasn't a ruling on how devoid interacts with colour identity in Commander, I would offer a few more inclusions (for example Kozilek's Return, a fairly pivotal moment in the story) that would permit a richer narrative experience for the player as they progress through the events of the story.

It's sneaky and a bit stupid, but I decided to put Spawnsire of Ulamog in there as a joke - obviously within the narrative, Emrakul would not return, in fact it was pretty much set in stone that she wouldn't return to Zendikar; regardless, I thought it would be funny to include a means for her to somehow arrive back on the plane (perhaps this could have concluded the Gatewatch story with great immediacy, if Emrakul did for some reason return).

In retrospect, a more compelling way to build this deck may have been to make it a 100 card singleton deck, that way I could include off-colour cards (like the aforementioned Kozilek's Return) in the same vein as Ob-Nixilis. While he wasn't necessarily allied with the Eldrazi, so to speak; he certainly served as a direct trigger, causing Kozilek to rise from the earth.

As per, feel free to hit me with any criticisms, or laud me for what you think I've done correctly.

I'm going to continue to read the Magic story, so as I progress through Shadows Over Innistrad block, you can expect some more decklists expressing the pivotal points in the storyline.
Perhaps I'll deviate from the standard Commander decklists and go toward a Duel Deck style, or implement other rules (like Arch Enemy/Planechase).

If you haven't looked at it already, here's the link to the opposing Allies list that this deck is supposed to be pit against:
