Deck Description

This is an interesting planes walker-based EDH control deck. The goal is to emblem a planeswalker the turn it comes out (or at least without your opponents having a turn). You will have to be a good social player, because you need to stay under the radar until you have a strong combo. One thing that this deck also is low on is board wipes, feel free to sb in a few. The sideboard is by no means complete: it is interesting cards, and I have not yet finished adding and cutting cards from it. Many of the cards there are from this deck's predecessor, a more creature based deck. If you have any ideas for SB or for the main deck, feel free to tell me! I have not played this deck yet, only drawn WAYYYYY too many sample hands.

How to Play

Try to emblem your planeswalkers in one turn. There are also a number of good combos in this deck: Tamiyo, Moon Sage + extra turn (infinite turns), Fathom Mage + Inexorable Tide or any other mass proliferate card (a lot of draw), Atraxa + Astral Cornucopia or Everflowing Chalice (a lot of mana), Doubling Season (the best card in the deck) + any planeswalker but Kiora (emblem the turn it comes out). Tamiyo, Field Researcher + Viral Drake or Clockspin (infinite loyalty, infinite counters, infinite draw with Fathom Mage). Rings of Brighthearth + Kiora, Nissa, or Sorin (double emblem). I'll quickly go over each planeswalker, and when to use them.

There are two things that I cannot stress enough: first, you MUST have a few counters in your hand to protect your PWs and combos. Second, you MUST be ready. The second that you drop that emblem, you have a giant target on your back. You have to be ready for everyone to gang up on you. Lastly, make sure that you let your emblem get you value. You want to sit back and let your emblem give you that value. Don't rush the game! You may not win instantly because of the emblem, but it will give you crazy value.

Baan: My favorite, his emblem is the biggest game ender. A board wipe, and you basically win. With a few removal and counter spells, it should still be pretty easy.
Even with no removal, you should be able to take it. If you have Ghostly Prison, it'll be better than Christmas morning. They have to choose: untap two lands to allow one creature to attack, or a creature and a land?

Jace: Another strong emblem, a board wipe follow up and you pretty much win. Without a board wipe, focus on surviving. Player your removal and counters, gain life, and let your emblem get its value.

Kiora: I like her +1, it gives you nice access to extra mana (untap a dork or land), her big minus gives you krakens, just make sure that you're in a board state to follow up. A board wipe is great, but make sure to allow your krakens to make value! If you have a doubling season, it lets you get double the krakens.

Lily: More of a walking tutor. Her big minus basically calls for a board wipe, but by all means use it. But I included her as a tutor.

Nissa: Much like Lily, I didn't include her for her big minus value. She's here to let you get cards back from your graveyard (although her minus is kind of nice, it lets you get some extra draw).

Sorin: His -2 gives you some nice boardstate , and his -6 (SUPER easy to hit) improves your chances of survival and makes it easier to win with any other emblem.

Tamiyo, Field Researcher: Her emblem is really nice, it lets you capitalize off any draw you have. Just make sure that you have a great hand or a lot of draw potential. Nothing is worse than being able to play everything for free, with nothing to play (and being ganged up on). On top of all of that other stuff, her +1 gives you some nice draw. Try to keep her alive if possible. Lastly, you can cast counter spells for free.

Tamiyo, the Moon Sage: Her -2 gives you some nice draw, and her emblem gives you a lot of combo potential. Basically, try to trade creatures, sacrifice planeswalkers, and play instants and sorceries. Boardwipes synergize very well with her. Both Tamiyo emblems together is very scary.

You also have plenty of other bullshit, including: tutors, draw, removal, ramp. A few honorable mentions for useful cards: Bloom Tender (basically tap for 4 mana), Deepglow Skate (doubles the counters on everything friendly, useful for Planeswalkers or Fathom Mage or artifacts), Astral Cornucopia and Everflow Chalice give you a TON of mana. With one of these guys out, plus some Proliferate, you never need to worry about mana again. Lux Cannon can kill something everyother turn just at base. More with all the other proliferate. Rings of Brighthearth can be used in bunch of combos, many of which I haven't yet found. Mainly, in proliferate in Viral Drake and others and, of course, doubling planes walker abilities (this means that it doesn't give twice the loyalty, but you get the ability twice).

TL;DR: Baan, Jace , Tamiyos: great with follow up. Kiora, Sorin: helps you win. Nissa. Lily: utility. Use combos (infinite turns, a lot of draw, a lot of mana, infinite spells, infinite counters, infinite loyalty). Get planeswalkers to ult in one turn.
