Deck Description

soooo...I began making this modern, but there were too many temptations with the deathrite and titania...
However, should you feel the need to go modern... Garruk Apex Predator and Driver of the Dead are options to swap out
or you include scavenging ooze

Land-Destruction Combos:
Natural Affinity + Echoing Decay > slow multi color decks, devastate mono color decks
Natural Affinity + Massacre Wurm > they don't need those lands anyway
If Urbog is out Echoing destroys all lands, even your own x)

if this is so, yay! we have the Crucible and Titania to dominate with

if the cards draw right, the wurm can be out turn 4ish
drain life with blood artist when the land combo kicks off
and
Swing away

suggestions welcome

Deck discussion for Grave Play

Wow, this seems like a great combo deck, kinda expensive but very solid, green/black always had this tendency to be very stable for combos :D

mostly because of the goyf... remove them for the scavenging ooze to make it cheaper or the other goyf that is cheaper

I agree all the way.
I had it in the deck originally and occasionally ran into some issues with it being dbl black along with some of the other cards having dbl colors. the echo allows for more versatility in my mana down and does what I need it to do for the combo

I've actually been playing around with dismember for the combo as well...
thanks

Nvm on the dismember ... i was hoping to pop it off early enough with the phyrexian mana to have early advantage/wipe for some fast fatty aggro decks. It just doesnt flow how I wanted it.

Have you considered replacing Oracle of Mul Daya with Veteran Explorer and Harrow with Scapeshift. If things go perfectly you can play Massacre Wurm on trun 3. Since your plan is to destroy your opponents lands anyway Veteran's drawback that you opponent gets lands too can be seen as a advantage since its getting less likely that he draws a land afterwards. Further Scapeshift can get you any lands not just basics.
- Scute Mob could be more powerful in this deck than Tarmogoyf
- Avenger of Zendikar would be powerful in this deck and can offer an additional way to win.
- Maybe a Boseiju, Who Shelters All for the sideboard.

Instead of Echoing Decay you could use Sudden Spoiling. Attack with your lands, your opponent most likely needs some to block, as well as other creatures, you kill them and keep yours. Add Beastmaster Ascension and you win.

Since this is not modern anymore:
With Scapeshift 1 should be enough and you have Crucible of Worlds to revive it if necessary. You might replace one Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth with a Glacial Chasm. Simply don't pay the upkeep, sacrifice it, get a 5/3 token from Titania, attack, revive Glacial Chasm with Crucible of Worlds, put a +1/+1 counter on your plant tokens, be invincible during your opponents turn. Of course you have to get rid of your opponents Deathrite Shaman first.
Rampaging Baloths is less costly alternative for Avenger of Zendikar.
option options options... :-) I have been working on something similar and ended up with 2 versions a Golgari and a Simic one. Can't decide which one is better and worse, both versions have too many options. I need a possibility to play test decks online without actually owning the cards (I always start with proxies and buy cards once I'm happy with the deck). Is there such a thing?
