Deck Description

Looking to build my first Modern deck, basically the idea of this deck is to win an attrition war while whittling away my opponents resources

Deck discussion for Mono White Hatebears

Very nice! +1

Sphere of safety might be neat, with all the enchantment you have.

Thanks, I did consider Sphere of Safety, but I'm trying really hard to keep the curve low, simply so that there is less chance I will stall out plus it means I can keep the amount of land I'm playing relatively low.

Hey I've been thinking about a deck like this as well. I think you're missing the two strongest cards though, Leonin Arbiter and Aven Mindcensor. They make Path to Exile and Ghost Quarter a lot stronger, and they frustrate your opponents trying to use fetchlands or other deck searches. Also watch out running 4 Thalia since you can only have one out at a time. I really like Silence though. I hadn't thought of that.

I definitely think I'll put in 4 copies of Ghost Quarter because I think my mana base can handle that and I really like the Leonin Arbiter/Aven Mindcensor idea too, thanks for that. I am mainly running 4 Thalia to make sure I draw at least one, I don't have card draw or deck manipulation at all and she is a pretty crucial piece, but after I start playtesting it I may adjust the numbers. Thanks for the suggestions overall though :)
Silence can feel dirty but sometimes it can throw your opponent off tempo, especially if you know you have ways to lock the game down further on your next turn which makes it all worthwhile.
