Deck Description

Similar to the Magus deck I recently designed, here's a deck based around the 3 best Myojins from Kamigawa. But instead of basing the rest of the cards on the attack theme of each Myojin, the single focus here is to get them out as fast as you can. Slivers proved to be the best choice for early creatures that compliment the idea. Then I looked for inexpensive enchantments to help with the early game.

How to Play

Between the Sheltered Aerie, the Gemhide Sliver, and Champion of Rhonas, I've gotten a Myojin out between turns 5-8 nearly every single time.
It's the early turns that can determine your success.
If Gemhide Sliver can be cast on turn 2, it helps immensely. But, a handful of Slivers only helps to get the Myojins out fast. The better scenario is either the Curse or the Prison enchantments to keep you on pace (life points wise). Venom Sliver does help a little in deterring attacks.
Obviously, once a Myojin hits the table, it can take control of the game for you instantly. Just make sure you're prepared for what each one of them will do you when you remove the divinity counter.

Deck discussion for Myojin

Just remember, the Myojin only enter the battlefield with a divinity counter if you cast it from your hand. So cheating them in with things like Champion of Rhonas or Quicksilver Amulet results in them not having a divinity counter, and thus not being indestructible nor having a counter to remove for their abilities.

To fix this problem, I suggest lowering the number of Myojin (they are legendary) to include That Which Was Taken to give them and other creatures divinity counters.
