Deck Description

This deck is a standard Gruul Werewolves deck my friend Isaac, aka DokkorrThorne, and I made. This is a budget build, but will probably be my next standard deck for 2 reasons: it will be supported with cards from EMN (cough) Ulrich of the Krallenhorde (cough) and won't have half its cards rotating out - unlike Kill Them With MORE Elves.

Anyroad, onto the deck:
NON DFC CREATURES:
Both Cult of the Waxing Moon and Silverfur Partisan don't actually flip - unfortunately for the title - but are used for token generation, and combo quite well for value with cards like Geier Reach Bandits and any of the targeting spells I run, respectively.

DFC CREATURES:
Duskwatch Recruiter gets creatures and cheapens them. Moving on.
Geier Reach Bandit. Having your werewolves being able to transform when they ETB - possibly racking up 2/2s with a Cult of the Waxing Moon - into generally a more powerful creature is great. Next.
Village Messenger is just a werewolf to play t1.

REMOVAL:
My choice of removal is that of things which obviously target my own creatures, like Epic Confrontation, and those that can in a pinch target lots of my wolves. Why? For Silverfur Partisan, of course! All the 2/2s!

WINNING:
After your werewolves are out, you can win by simply attacking till your opponents die, but why not hurry that up by preventing most of their creatures from blocking with Magmatic Chasm? And Howlpack Resurgence is nice to buff and allow your wolves to deal damage to opposing players more easily.

MANA:
Cryptolith Rite was difficult. I wanted it in without a doubt but the number was... hard to decide on. It's always better if you draw one but a second one is a dead draw. I decided on 3 to limit the dead draws but I'm still not sure. Anyway, I put it in for mana acceleration - maybe some game might be won by 2 12 mana Rolling Thunders! The mana base is quite simple, aiming for lands to ETB untapped.

Deck discussion for Gotta Flip 'Em All

Ah, if only CoCo and Arlinn Kord,
Were examples of cards I can afford,
Sadly this deck is budget,
Oh well, I guess I'll fudge it.

I am not a poet.

That is absolutely terrible. And this is coming from a guy who's sister would sing terrible rhymes CONSTANTLY. Nice deck, however, a like the werewolfing. I didn't read the whole article you wrote so why rolling thunder?

Good Deck, I agree with that. Caudex, you are an imbecile in the rest of your comment. I mean, just check the effing article. It's THERE. Hint, it's underneath the Removal section.

Anyway, nice deck. Have u playtested yet?

BBB, please don't call me an imbecile, one as idiotic as yourself, as seen by your comment on the Standard Aeons Torn deck, is not in a position to make judgements. I was tired, and couldn't find the explanation.

And I can't find a good explanation in that comment. You were tired? But not so that you couldn't comment. The explanation is easily found - unless you can't read?

BBB, I was tired and didn't realise that spells that in a pinch could target his own wolves were rolling thunder (good idea in that, by the way). Can you please stop insulting me and move on.

FoolishDeckbuilder, I have a revised version of your beautiful poem. It's mostly the same don't worry.

If only CoCo and Arlinn Kord
Were some of the cards that I could afford
Sadly this deck is budget
Oh well, I guess I'll just fudge it

When I first saw that title I thought it said "gotta flip em off" :P
Deck seems pretty solid too, only things that are hurting it are the lack of Arlinn and CoCo :(
Have you playtested yet? How does it stand up against other standard decks?

Hard to playtest, my playgroup is in other cities, states, and countries :-P. But I've so far not lost with it!

Why don't you build the deck you want, I mean this is really great, but I found when I built what I wanted it helped me focus to find more budget options. But back on track you made a really nice deck.

Either that or its just the code of the website. You could look it up in the deck search tool.
