This is basically a “modern seasons past” deck. I am not a standerd player, but I had a lot of respect for the seasons past decks and how they work. When the most popular one rolled out of standerd, I felt dishearted. I wanted something similar. Something that I could call my own, but still keeping true to the nature of seasons past decks. So I built this, and slowly improved it over time. I have a few other variants of this deck, but this one performs the best and is the most fun to play with. This deck might not get you a lot of wins, but it is certainly very fun.
• This deck is run like a graveyard deck. It feeds off of the graveyard. Multiple of the best cards in this deck are only good in late game. For instance,Rakshasa’s disdain and disciple of the ring are insane, but only if you have a good sized graveyard.• This deck can run perfectly fine without seasons past. Don’t worry one bit if they get countered or removed from the game.• Don’t try to play mind games with your opponent. For instance,if you have a peices of the puzzle in your hand and no counters, but your opponent doesn’t know it,don’t try to make them think you have a counter. Play things without an ounce of hesitation.• This deck’s worst matchup is another control deck. You are incredibly vulnerable to other counters. It’s not even a fair fight if you go up against another control deck.• Never try to seek out a win condition if you aren’t in a bad situation.• Make the opponent think you’re stupid with your epiphany at the drownyards. There is no better way to say this. Make one way decisions. The things that get graved are not gone forever. It really doesn’t matter what you get sometimes.• And the most important tip! Always trust a bad hand. There are only two types of hands you should never keep;A hand full of win conditions, and a hand with no 2 or 3 drops. If you draw a sample hand, you’ll see what I mean. This deck has very good luck when it comes to its first few draws.
