This is a revision of the Elf combo archetype including the new tools the deck got access to in Magic Origins. The basic game plan is to assemble a massive amount of Elves and drain the opponent out with Shaman(s) of the Pack. The deck also has access to several infinite combos. Heritage Druid is the engine that powers the deck's best draws. It and Cloudstone Curio are necessary for any of the infinite combos.Cloudstone Curio + Heritage Druid + Dwynen's Elite = infinite tokensCloudstone Curio + Heritage Druid + Essence Warden + any 1-drop = infinite lifeCloudstone Curio + Heritage Druid + Nettle Sentinel + any 1-drop = infinite manaCloudstone Curio + Heritage Druid + Nettle Sentinel + Elvish Visionary = infinite drawsOne advantage of this combo approach is that all of the combo pieces except Cloudstone Curio are cards that an Elf deck would likely play anyway, and Curio even has applications as a value engine outside of the combo, so the deckbuilding cost of including the combos is negligible. The main cost of this approach is that without any maindeck lords, the deck has a much harder time winning through combat. Typically if the deck attacks at all, it's with the goal of forcing through just enough small attackers that the few points of combat damage in combination with Shaman triggers are lethal. As always, the Elf deck struggles with Wrath and Pyroclasm effects, though Cavern of Souls means that the deck at least doesn't auto-lose to Chalice of the Void like this type of deck sometimes does. Dryad Arbor is included so that the fetchlands have the option to trigger Cloudstone Curio to save an important creature at instant speed or restart the combo if there are no creatures left in hand. There were several other newer cards (ORI-) that I considered as possibilities for the deck but rejected, at least for this version. Beastcaller Savant, Sylvan Advocate, Hissing Quagmire, Bring to Light, Skyrider Elf, Sylvan Messenger (hey, it's new to Modern), and Nissa, Vastwood Seer were all either too inefficient or not conducive enough to the game plan, but most were close enough that I'd consider them potentially viable in the right Modern Elves build.
