Deck Description

Feedback and suggestions are appreciated. Deck hasn't been play tested!

This deck's my second attempt trying to counter a 4-Turn-Win-Combo deck:

This deck's my first attempt:

This deck was built around Madness and discard mechanics with Vampires and burn spells. Draw speed was my difficulty with this deck as it's very easy to discard cards, so changes probably will happen.

This deck is basically budget if it weren't for the lands being so expensive and Nahiri.

How to Play

OLD OUTDATED HOW TO PLAY - EDITING SOON!!!
Furyblade Vampire will allow you to discard early game to either burn or drop creatures with Madness.

Call the Bloodline can help as well, I mainly put this in for Voldaren Pariah because she requires 3 creatures to be sacrificed in order to Transform.
Although, the added discard and creatures for such a low cost is a nice utility for the deck as a whole.

Nahiri, the Harbinger was put in for discard/draw and slight destruction. Though, you can use her -8 to get a creature out or the 1x Key to the City if needed.

Stensia Masquerade will strengthen you Vampires, even has a Madness cost!

I put Lost Legacy in to get rid of those pesky Thing in the Ice and/or Fling that allow the Turn-4-Combo to happen, these can be switched out through sideboard but I'm sure there's other cards you'd probably like to get rid of.

Deck discussion for Delirious Extortioner

i think you should cut white out, because it will be cheaper and your mana base will better work
good budget creatures are heir of falkenrath, bloodhall priest, markhov dreadknight, ravenous bloodseeker and stromkirk occultist

Thank you for the feedback! I'm looking at the cards now.
What would you suggest I switch out?

maybe call the bloodline, because you got alradeay, with your draw spells and so on, many options to discard

What would I take the Call the Bloodline out for?

I have them in there to produce tokens for sacing to Voldaren Pariah so she can Transform.
I could replace the 2x Call the Bloodline for 2x Ravenous Bloodseeker, but that seems like a loss.

you could probably use kalitas, traitor of geth for tokens if he is not to expensive for your taste

drana, liberator of malakir, falkenrath gorger and olivia, mobilized for war are incredible strong, but a bit expensive, options

for more budget, you can thought about indulgent aristcrate, olivias bloodsworn and stromkirk condemned

from under the floorboards is a nice mdness card too, but unfortunaly not a vampire producing card

• Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet replacing the Call the Bloodline, while still being able to produce tokens. Sadly Zombies which are useless imo unless I had Olivia out. Also, he's legendary so I'd probably only put 2 of him in there as you can only have 1 in play at a time. And he only produces tokens if a nontoken creature your opponent controls dies.

• Drana, Liberator of Malakir maybe replacing the Bloodmad Vampire? Only need 2 of her since she's legendary though and I could only have one of her in play instead of 3 Bloodmad Vampire.

• Falkenrath Gorger, not needed most of my vampires already have Madness and those that don't, don't need it.

• Olivia, Mobilized for War is a strong card, though I don't know how to fit her in. I really like that Haste, though you can only have one of her in play so I'd probably only put 2 in the deck.

• Olivia's Bloodsworn, not sure, it's rather cheap and can give haste although other than that it's meh..

• Stromkirk Condemned, it may be low costing but his effect only works once and is temp. Not worth it.

• From Under the Floorboards is a nice card, Madness cost is decent, gives you tokens and life.. Though, Zombies and if anything that'd be in sideboard if at all.

I agree that Drana, Liberator of Malakir is a better 3 drop, I would only have Kalitas as a side-board card since he is a 4 drop and you don't want to tie up your mana making him a late game card that can't produce a lot of tokens since you'll be spending most of your spells earlier on to distrupt your opponents board-state. Most of the cards only fit in because of the madness costs lol, we can't have an anti-turn 4 win deck that gets grid locked on turn 4 itself. I like him in a slower game though. He is a very strong card, just not for initially weeding-out the weak spots of a deck.

I made the changes, this seemed like a pretty good trade.

Added 2x Drana, moved 1x Fatal Push from sideboard to mainboard.
Added 1x Kalitas to Sideboard.

other options are muderous compulsion, yahenni, undying partisan and coolective brutality
i am still thinking there must be a place for 2 olivia

• Murderous Compulsion is not worth a spot, not even in sideboard imo I'd go with this over that:
- Yahenni's Expertise, fantastic card not sure if it'd fit in this deck, but I can see it doing well against the common standard Mardu decks. Maybe sideboard, but idk for sure what i'd switch it out with if I where to.

• Yahenni, Undying Partisan is interesting, though I don't see a spot for him. If he gave all my vampires indestructible til end of turn and not just himself, that'd be a different story. He's just too selfish to be effective.

• Collective Brutality, good card, I had them in here before but I replaced them with Pick the Brain in Sideboard since the Delirium was fantastic. Collective Brutality has the discard, but it's not for this deck imo.

Suggest a swap out for Olivia, I am just really unsure with her.

maybe switch out alchemits greeting, because you have already 9 other optionjs to remval creatures or key to the city, because olivia gives you the discard too and you need haste and a bonus more than unblockable

Alright, I swapped the Alchemist's Greeting for Oliva. Seemed like a good decision.

Okay, this one I do like quite a bit more than the other one. Using Lost Legacy to get rid of Fling completely negates an instant win, turning the game into a prowess vs vampires game. Plus you've got alchemists greeting to get rid of TiTi BEFORE it transforms.

The only thing I would change. Drop the Avacyn's Judgment (just not quite worth it most the time, in my experience) for Fatal Push (another way to kill off TiTI). Possibly add more of Stensia Masquerade, that card can mess with decks.

Should I take out the Alchemists Greeting for another 2x Stensia Masquerade or 1x and 1x Fatal Push?
I do have Lightning Axe and Fiery Temper combo, which the Axe itself kills TiTi before transformation. Even if I don't have the full combo, Lightning Axe kills TiTi itself, although Fiery Temper does not on it's own.

umm... I'd say leave Alchemists, it's a decent madness card... but if you did take it out, 1 more of Stensia and Fatal.

So instead of mainboard, I just switched out 2x Collective Defiance from the sideboard and put 1x of the Stensia and Fatal in there.

What are your thoughts on Voldaren Pariah and Call the Bloodline? Should I swap these for something else?

In comments above I am being suggested cards, please read as well.

hazorat gives you a very nice discard too, but is expensive
the black new god is not worth neither

Nah, don't need it. Plus, not a vampire and I've got plenty of discard at this point.

I'm gonna proxy this deck and play it. Once I get a feel for it we'll see what kinda changes it needs if needed.

The Way the deck is now, there's very little reason to limit yourself to just vampires except for theme. You only have two stensia masquerades to reward yourself for all the vampires

Are you trying to suggest something?

0

I think the vampire theme is really cool. If you want to make the deck a more aggressive distruiption for that 4-T-W than I would suggest getting away from strictly vampires as well and focus on your options via creature base and the new set.

Alright, what creatures would you recommend?

Bomat courier is good if you need to refill your hand. Flameblade adept makes a nice 1-drop. With so much discarding, getting to 0 cards isn't very hard, and Lupine prototype can get you a 5/5 for 2 mana that way
