Deck Description

Ever since I started playing Magic, I wanted to make a dragon deck. I love all of the flavour that surrounds it. At first it didn't matter to me if it would be competitive or not, as long as I had fun playing it.
Turns out that after some tweaking, it does in fact more than hold its own in the modern duels I play with my friends.
It's fast, much faster then you would expect from a dragon deck. No ramping is needed, you can cast dragons starting at your first turn.

This is my first deck I'm posting here, I'm hoping to get some feedback and discussion from new and expert players alike.
If this turns out to be a good experience then you'll definitely hear more from me here on MTGVault.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks in advance!

Jani

How to Play

Try to get a Dragon Tempest in your opening hand. Since this deck allows you to cast/play dragons very early in the game with Slumbering Dragon, Dragon Hatchling and Dragon Egg, make sure you get that Dragon Tempest out as soon as possible.

Opponents will want to keep your number of dragons down to a minimum with their removal, let them pay dearly for it with Thunderbreak Regent.

Dragon Hatchling and the 2/2 Dragon spawn from Dragon Egg are in itself already pretty good if you have enough land to pay for their ability.

Take care of unforeseen problems with Lightning Bolt, Mizzium Mortars and Seismic Rupture.

Outpost Siege (choose Khans) will get you some card advantage.

Descent of the Dragons should finish the fight.

Deck discussion for Dragons: Awake & Awing

I would switch the outpost sieges with the dragonlords servant, just because i don't think they help much. But it seems like a really cool deck! i may even build it irl.

I agree Outpost siege should get swapped out for dragonlords servant, or dragon master outcast. I have a dragon deck but goes a very different route, probably my favorite deck in my collection. Nice to see variety.
