Deck Description

Second version of Flicker/Blinking.
1st deck was Land Destruction using Flicker/Blink cards.
2nd deck is this one: Making opponent sack his stuff.
3rd deck will be Mono White control: It is upcoming in a few days.

Deck Description: Use Rishadan Pirates with Flicker and Blink cards to make my opponent sacrifice all of his permanents.

Backing up my Flicker/Blink cards with Counterspells that allow my opponent to tap his lands to keep spells. The idea is...Spell Pierce his spell...he taps two lands to keep his card from being countered. NOW, he has tapped out of lands and I play Rishadan Cutpurse/Footpad, on my turn, to make him sack his permanent.

By the 4th Turn...you should be able to force your opponent to sack at least 1 permanent (2 and 3 permanents a turn, once you get going) every turn.

Simple idea: if he has no permanents...then he can't win the game.

How to Play

Play my Rishadan Pirates forcing my opponent to pay mana to keep his permanents OR force him to sack them. THEN play stuff like Cloudshift/Flicker to exile your Pirates and bring them back into play triggering their "when enters battlefield" abilities to make your opponent sack more stuff!!!

Keep doing that. Keep playing Pirates and Counterspells, forcing your opponent to tap out of his mana, and then Blink/Flicker your Pirates in and out of play. Over and over. Your opponent has to keep sacking his stuff until he is out of lands/creatures/permanents.

I have Ichor Wellspring to draw cards. Flicker and Ghostly Flicker Wellspring in and out of the game, allowing you to draw cards as needed.

Curfew is interesting. It can save one of your creatures. Plus it bounces one of your opponent's creatures. Plus it bounces one of your Pirates so that you can replay him and re-trigger the "when enters battlefield" to make your opponent sack one of his permanents.

Parallax Wave is brutal. It is creature hate against your opponent. Plus it is a way to exile your Pirates, and bring them back into play, to...you guessed it...re-trigger their abilities again.

Use your Flicker or Ghostly Flicker to reset the fade counters on Parallax Wave to 5.

Again, the counterspells I picked were ones that "tricked" my opponent into tapping all of his lands, in order to keep his cards from being countered. When he is tapped out, make him pay for it! Play a Pirate, and watch him curse!

Deck discussion for Flick my Bic # 2 Pirate Budget

A little over 20 dollars. Not too shabby.

What about powersink as a counter option? If he doesn't pay the mana to save his spell, all his lands are tapped from the sink.

Do you think the deck will work?
I haven't tried it yet.

It's a crap shoot. You don't have much to play until turn 3. I would maybe think about other utility creatures, like Man-o-war and fog bank to protect you early on.

I think I do have a few things to cast.

1st turn. I can bounce one of their creatures. They play, their first turn, a 1/1. I bounce it with Curfew. They lost a turn.

And 1st/2nd turn Force Spike. They tap out on either their first or second turn playing a spell...and it is countered.

Or if they get a creature out, say a 1/1 the first turn...and they attack with it the second turn, I just Flicker it away, and take no damage. A 2nd turn Power Sink also stops them in their tracks. Wellspring is a second turn draw spell. Which isn't too bad.

Man-o-war is a decent suggestion for this deck, for sure! But he can't be played until turn 3.
I will look into better 1st turn drops.

K, if you want good 1 drops that fit your theme, here you go:
Judge's Familiar
Cursecatcher
Delver of Secrets
Sage of Epityr
Kraken Hatchling

Also, here are some good morph creatures you could add:
Exalted Angel
Quicksilver Dragon
Rockshard Elemental
Blistering Firecat

Other ideas:
Piracy
Drain Power
Mana Short

The first 2 allow you to tap other people's lands for mana. Drain Power is better in that even if they tap their lands in response, but they don't play an instant or pay for an ability, you still get the mana from their pool. Piracy also works to at least tap their lands, however, they can tap their lands in response and add mana to their mana pool and you won't get the mana. However, it is a ruse anyways, since you want them to be tapped out. Mana short can be done as an instant and at the end of their turn, so you are guaranteed to have them be tapped out. Of the 3, drain power is the best for this deck.
