Sorceries (6)

Instants (5)

Enchantments (4)

Deck Description

My friends use to hate my mono blue flying deck.
I kept giving them the flying beatdown!
So, they started making decks against flying.

What would happen if I mixed those two decks?
Flying and anti-flying?

What if I wanted to try and give my opponent's flying, could I win doing so?

How to Play

Give your opponent's creatures flying:
Air Bladder
Shimmering Winds
Leap

Then punish them for having flying:
Whirlwind
Squallmonger
Bow of Nylea

Stall them because they have flying:
One-Eyed Scarecrow
Raking Canopy
Thornweald Archer

Bow of Nylea:
1) Gain life
2) Put +1/+1 counters on Thornweald Archer (and other creatures)
3) Deal 2 damage to a creature with flying

Temporal Spring:
1) Creature/artifact/enchantment bounce
2) Stall

Draw power with:
Leap
Impulse

Win Conditions:
1) Squallmonger
2) Hunted Troll

Hmm ... perhaps this is because individuals who are dedicated to creating tournament level decks are more interested in studying the decks that have won at past tournaments, not the decks of fellow magic players, and tend to avoid this site. I would wager that far more of the players here are interested in casual, kitchen-table decks. Like this. In fact, I would wager since that the average age of a MTG player is around 13, a majority of players in general are primarily casual, with a hint of Friday Night Magic thrown in now and then.

There's more to life (or the lack of a life that comes from too much cardboard crack :) ) than winning tournaments. Otherwise we would only see like ... 4 or 5 tired, worn-out deck themes ... with the same tired, worn-out cards ... yup, I don't see how THAT could get old. What do you think Puschkin. Jessie, Northy, Sorin, whomever?

Even competitive players love to sit back and enjoy a casual game now and then. And I bet they don't want to play the same decks they play or face in tournaments. That would, again, get old.

That's just a theory.

This rant having been concluded, I would be happy to take a look at your tournament level decks. While I don't make many myself, making casual decks has given me quite a breadth of knowledge of Magic, and I would only be too happy to share. Though honestly, Puschkin or Sorin could probably tell you more. I'm more of a rules guy.

Of course I agree.
All I can add is:
Competitive and Casual players have different approaches to the game and problems arise when they clash without being able to understand the other side. And it doesn't help that there are:

* Casual players that are by heart competitive players but just not good enough, so they declare their shitty decks "casual" even though winning and competing is as important to them as for tournament players.
* Competitive players that are by heart casual players but got suck into the tournament scene because of the constant dick comparisons going on in the Magic community.
* Players that are actually part of both worlds but unable to switch back and forth, so their casual decks are too straight forward and their tournament decks too playful

Anyway, if these different types clash, then of course will be misunderstandings and flamewars. What *I* don't understand: MTGVault allows to add tags to your deck. If deckbuilders would always add either a "Casual" or "Tournament" tag and if people would actually check these tags, then there would be no need to fight - competitive players would read the "casual" tag and could stop reading immediately.

It can be so difficult to blend the two worlds indeed. I semi made it work during Innistrad/Return to Ravnica with BUG zombies, but have not been able to find a hybrid deck for the following standard seasons. I don't want to be the guy my nontournament friends don't want to play because my decks are too dickish. At the same time, I don't want FNM to be when I finally get to test the on paper vs in practice functionality. I fear my decks tend to show this sometimes (if they don't just flat out suck at least -whistles-).

Back on the main topic very fun deck. I enjoy reading your builds Jessie; I just tend to shy away from the comments because I don't want to spam really cool on every deck page when I have nothing constructive to offer in terms of ideas that fit the theme and don't break the true casual intent.

End of rant.

I try to be original...I even have started searching out decks/cards on MTG Vault when i come up with a deck.
IF i see someone else has made the deck I wanted to make. Or IF i see someone already has used the combo I wanted to use, and they have a lot of likes, I will not even try to make the deck!

I spent 3 hours last night making a deck...only to erase it after doing a deck search for the card...and found out someone else had a very similar deck already on here.

Plus, I have made over 100 decks...it is getting harder and harder to make an original deck.

It's not nearly as efficient as Impulse But Masked Admirers lets you draw and is on thyme for Halloween. Or maybe Trickery Charm, 2 of the 3 options are relevant.

This deck was very well thought though you could add an archetype of imagination and a switcheroo so then the opponent's creatures are all flying, but that would destroy all of your flying creatures. Also add the card wild dancer, because its ability to tap and target creature gains flying until end of turn is awesome! You could also add sleep just incase the opponent has an overkill of creatures! If you wantna deal minimum damage you should use dismiss into dream!

Looks cool! What type of deck? Duel or Multiplayer? What it is, I'll base my suggestions on. Initial cards I can see for replacement : 1 Bow of Nylea, and 3 temporal springs. The Bow because its legendary and 2 spots seem enough. The temporal springs because there are many better cards (in my opinion) that could go in that slot ;)

1
Posted 13 October 2014 at 01:50

1 vs 1
And I love Temporal Spring!!!
Might put in the classic Boomerang in it's place.
I need some sort or removal...and bounce works, for creatures/enchantments/artifacts.
Maybe Beast Within? Instead?

1
Posted 13 October 2014 at 01:56

Just seems a bad way to die...when I am trying to do trickster stuff like give their creatures flying and punish them for it...to lose to an Artifact/Enchantment. So some sort of bounce/removal is necessary :)

1
Posted 13 October 2014 at 02:00

Ya I understand fully, Beast Within would be nice too, up to you. Seeing its a duel deck I can see the value of putting a permanent to their library for sure. Also, you think 3 whirlwinds might be over kill? Thinking another hunted troll as thats the beast of your deck and it isn't legendary.

1
Posted 13 October 2014 at 02:46

So, to summarize, you would say
-1 Bow
-1 Whirlwind?
+1 Hunted Troll
-3 Temporal Spring
--------------------------
Leaves me 4 cards show of 60 cards.
What would be your final suggestions?

counterspell? or maybe deadly recluse?

-1

Ya Counter Spell would be nice, but again, I can see the power of temporal springs. You'll have to play test that out. Deadly Recluse would be nice as I was thinking your a little light on creatures. But yes, I say for sure -1 Bow and whirlwind.

1
Posted 13 October 2014 at 02:13

I do make generic decks.
I try not to though.
Example, I wanted to make a deck with Gray Merchant of Asphodel.
I went to MTGVault and seen that 1700 decks had been made with Gray Merchant...so I canceled the idea.

I did the same thing with Air Bladder.
Did Deck Search for decks with Air Bladder...found VERY FEW decks. On top of that...not a single deck that with Air Bladder that had made it to the Hot Pages...so, I made a deck with Air Bladder :)

0

Of all cards to choose from, you choose Air Bladder. Haha. I think it's awesome how you make it work so well. I like looking at your decks, because they generally contain clever ideas. I try to use obscure combos in mine, but I can't ever make the hot pages. Haha.

What was it a few years ago?

All Standard/Modern/Vintage/Legacy tourney decks? That were all the same?

Minus a few cards, here and there? Boring.
*Snooze* Sorry...I fail asleep at the monotonous repeating of same decks over and over and over and over and...*snooze* Sorry, fail asleep again.

Same decks with the same damn cards?
Over and over?
Fetch lands?
Thousand dollar decks?
Carbon copies?
Tourney decks that dumbasses found on FNM results?

What real decks/real advice are you talking about?
What card to add or take away in the same overdone decks?

Let me look at your decks:

Azorious Control?! Wait, what? People play that? Yeah, everyone including my mom play that same boring crap.

A Boros deck? Oh, thrilling. Same shit different day. Really refreshing to see 1,000 Boros decks.

Selesyna Beatdown? Wait, what? That is a totally new idea there, not! Do I even have to do a Selesyna deck search to see how many people made that same damn deck?

A Dimir Mill deck? Is that even a thing? Mill decks? Really? Wow, never heard of that one. *snooze* Sorry, fail asleep again.

*******************************************************************************************************

I started on this site as a total Spike. Giving the same speeches you gave me, to other people. Somewhere along the way, though, friend, I started making Johnny decks. The same types of decks I bitched at other people for making.

You aren't a dick. Or if you are...I was a bigger dick! I wrote rants longer than this one and yours combined, on people's decks.

Yeah, I have been told how it use to be on this site. Same 5 people getting all the likes/hot decks.
It was a disaster.
And I have had a look at most of their decks.
Expensive, tried and true decks.
Very nice. Very deadly. Very lethal. Some of the best deck building I have ever seen!
But very boring, for the most part.

*******************************************************************************************************

And don't worry, guy. MTGVault will get fed up with this crappy deck...and restock the Hot Page with a bunch of boring Standard and Modern legal decks again, like they did last month. Decks that "magically" got 10 likes with 0 comments when Khans came around.

And it will be a entire page of Hot Decks that are copy and paste jobs of FNM tourney decks.

"Lets all make decks that are fun to play."
I thought that was the point!

"but this site is damn near useless for people that want real advice on real decks and it makes me sad."
What is a real deck to you?

I am just a little offended...

because you have liked my decks, that have been very close to this one (not sure what makes this one different).

And you have liked/bragged on some of the more boring decks I have done (white decks are for pansies).

And you have joined/thanked me for making a few of my challenge decks (static ability challenge).

*******************************************************************************************************

And then I go to your comments...and most of them are about YOURself. About YOUR decks. About patting YOURself on the back or explaining to other people why you will not put the cards they suggest in your deck.

AND almost all of the rest of your comments are hating on decks, like mine:

Example: Did I just win?
Example: Infinite Extort (your favorite expression being, "Sorry to sound like a dick BUT...")
Example: Insects and Yummy Tokens
Example: Lambs to the Slaughter
Example: self-sacks
Example: INFINITE ELF TOKENS
Example: Counter Everything
Example: "just shut up and like my fuckin deck. asshole. if I wanted any lip from you, id scrape it off my zipper" That was one of your more classy and helpful comments, fyi.
Example: Your love of saying, "Your deck is okay, but mine is the shit!!!"
Example: All of your negatively voted comments.
Apparently people love when you are an asshole/dick. Maybe if you apologize more to them before you tell them their decks suck.
Example: "Sorry for being an asshole." Guess that is a little different than, "Sorry to sound like a dick BUT..."

*******************************************************************************************************

AND, my personal favorite of yours:
Your LOVE of saying, "Your version sucks, let me show you up by making it better. THEN I will post it on YOUR deck, so that you can look at what your deck is SUPPOSE to look like. "

THAT'S THE BEST OF ALL!
It makes you come off as very genuine. Very respectful of others and their time and effort.
It doesn't make you look like a scrotum sack, at all!!!

*******************************************************************************************************

"and most of my decks are different in some way or another and almost all of them i spent a lot of time on trying to make work."

I can tell that, friend. I looked at your decks. And just like mine, they are interesting and took time to make. But I am not the one going around calling myself a dick, telling other people how their decks suck and how they would be better if they were more like mine. Nor am I the one with most of my comments about my own damn decks. As you said, I am friendly and help other people out. Not just tell them that they are ruining MTGVault.

"This site is now lets look at all the shitty cards that no one plays and try to make a budget deck with it." Again, because not everyone are posers.

"Who the hell wants to play with a deck that relies on giving your opponent's creatures, (assuming they have any), the ability to fly, just so you can kill them?" Me. And you do see where I can use those spells to also give myself flying, right? Like a 8/4 Hunted Troll with Regeneration and Flying.

"Your statement about the same 5 people on the hot list every week is kind of funny, because im pretty sure your one of them. And its with lame ass shit like this."
More of your, "Sorry I am an asshole speech." And no, I am not one of those 5 people. I wasn't even on this site then.

"Im sorry it offends you but you seriously cant believe that this muff cabbage is the good "refreshing" material your talking about." At least I learned the term "muff cabbage" from all of your hate mongering...so I guess this hasn't been a complete waste of time.

*******************************************************************************************************

Finally, you mentioned me and Budget about 10 times. No, I do not make Budget decks, on purpose. If they end up that way, then fine. But I never start out my deck building process with, "How do I make this 20 dollars or less." Never.

I have over 110 decks...and only about 5 of them are Budget.

Im with jessie on this one. You come onto decks like this that are not made from the same mold as every fuckin tourney deck that comes onto the site and spew shitty comments. I seriously wish i could report people who do that and get their ability to comment revoked. I have quite a few decks that this, decks that are just random in how they work. I actually have a deck on here that is designed to win eith Rod of Spanking, one of the most random things you could possibly try and win with. I have another that is designed to hurt itself so that i can win with Near-Death Experience, which is hard to actually do because you have to be at 1 life. I appreciate the random decks on here because they ARENT the same damn thing every day. If you want to see decks that all actually work and are compepetive, take yourself someplace else. I for one am glad that stuff like this makes the hot page. Who cares if its the same people? And the whole "decks that people can make and play with" schtick is actually rather dumb, considering that a BUDGET deck is designed to be bought for about $20, thus making them VERY easy to actually get and make without going into debt for the rest of their life. In my honest opinion, people like you need to GTFO of Vault.

Sorry. Now you make me feel like a jerk.
No hard feelings, okay?

You are right...there are a lot of decks on the Hot Pages that suck.
Self admittance-that includes some of my decks.
And true, this deck is a one trick pony that WOULD LOSE to a lot of decks on here with 0 likes.
I will admit that too.

That doesn't mean I don't plan my decks out. That I don't spend hours and hours trying to come up with something neat (like you do!). Sure, this deck won't work every time...or even half of the time...but it still doesn't take away the hours that I spent searching out cards/ideas/combos.

And I do see the Hot Pages more often than a lot of people, and I can see where that would piss people off.
Some people have been on here for 3, 4, and 5 years, with no Hot Decks...and they should of been!! Looking at your decks, several of them are just as good if not better than this one.
Again, I will admit that.

However, I have 4000 more comments than you.
I earn what I get.
I go, daily, to other decks and suggest ideas/cards/combos/tips to make decks better.
Everyday.

"Im just hoping to find people who think like me and want advice on decks that might actually see play."
Here is another self admittance. When I started on this site, I had the same feelings!!!
I thought to myself, "Same shitty decks, using the same shitty budget, with ONE win condition, how weak!!!"
I complained to people about it too.
It got me nowhere.

Even my best friend, who showed me to this site QUIT coming here for the same reasons!!
I still can't get him to come back on here.
He says, "You want me back on Mtg Vault, sure, are all the shitty budget decks gone? I like the idea of budget decks, but if the deck is budget just to be budget, that it is pure crap. Are those decks gone?"
I answer no, and he says, "Then, I am not going back on that site then. Not until they get serious again and have tourney quality decks on there."

He feels you and I feel you.

Another Issue. I have 100 decks on here, man.
You know how hard it is to make a deck after 100 decks?
After you have made all of the solid, winning, capable, tried-and-true decks...you sorta of run out of ideas...and start to become a Johnny player/deck builder.

Want to know something else?
A part of me sold out. A little.
I realized that the type of decks you and my friend Hank want on here, aren't going to make it. And the few that do are damn near carbon copies of Tourney decks.
So I was stuck with this dilemma:
1) Stop going to this site
2) Start liking/commenting on all of the carbon copy decks, which I hated
3) Start making every single deck budget because they get the likes, which I hated
4) Or, find my niche. Where I fit in. I thought, "Well, if I don't make want to stop coming here AND I don't want to make the same tourney decks everyone else does AND I don't want every deck to be budget THEN I have to try something different.

These types of decks I came up with.

http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/m15-ob-nixilis-unshackled/
Combo decks that people like

http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/mutant-ninja-turtle-in-magic/
Original decks that do not often work, but very damn creative and fun to look at

http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/2-mana-challenge/
Again, original ideas that people might get behind.

http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/m15-frog-tribal-is-possible/
Same deal.

http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/the-hero-who-kills-gods/
Same deal. Almost exactly. Instead of giving opponent's creatures flying then kill them I pump them up with offense, and then kill them.

I started to focus on Challenges, where everyone got noticed/comments/views on their decks.
I started to focus on Theme decks, neat and different.
I started to focus on Johnny decks.

South Park, love it, not feeling the new season though.
I am Lorde....yah yah yah.

*******************************************************************************************************

To end my rant, you are right on most accounts!!!
And I do not disagree.
You have all justification to rant and feel aggravated.
I feel you.
I really do.
And maybe I am a sale out...for not making more solid decks.
For trying, maybe too hard, to make something different..even if it isn't a game winner.

Truce, friend?

you have a ton of comments and have definitely put way more effort into helping people than i have. I know for a fact if i spent more time doing so, perhaps i would have followers like i did when i started.
And dont feel bad, i was venting my frustrations at 2 am after a day of drinking, i deserved a bit of a chewing out but i certainly meant what i said although my presentation was not fantastic to say the least.

I don't consider you to be a sell out, you do what you enjoy, same as i do. people right now just happen to enjoy what you make more. I love this site and i come on here everyday and spend countless hours trying to perfect a deck before i buy it (which is a waste of time, i should just order it and play test it instead of making a thousand changes based solely on sample hands), but its fun for me, and i learn a lot from it.

you have found your niche and im sorry for taking my frustrations out on it. I can be quite ignorant sometimes, until i back away and think about it. So yea, sorry for turning your comments page into a therapy session lol.

I havent watched any of the southpark episodes this season, i was still dissappointed in the ones from last season. they are trying to hard to make it funny and its just not. Time for them to go back to their roots!

Also im relatively new to magic, only been playing it for about 2 years and i am just now starting to play people outside of my friend groups competitively at FNM's and shit. So all the decks that people are bored of, are all new to me, and im trying to get good advice on how to play against them, i think thats why im bothered the most. Cause its not old to me yet.
Not your fault.

Thanks for being a swell guy

Google search tournament magic decks and TGC Player.com comes up. In it you can search for the top tournament decks in any format won all over the country. Most decks all have the same names with minor variations. Most decks cost upwards of $300-3000. There you can look at all the tournament quality decks you could possibly imagine. While this sight may have decks that "don't deserve to be on the hot page", I've found COUNTLESS IDEAS here. It's about community and helping out each other. To me that's more important than the hot page or tournament quality decks.

Yes, BigGeorge76. I too have seen a lot of the tounrey decks and then I see the prices and I say to myself "I love tounraments but I am not spending $500+ on a deck when I have so much other stuff in my life going on." That's not to say I don't want them, but sometimes we have to know when to say no. Unless you are actually winning in national events and getting money, 90% of the decks that win are out of our price ranges. I have seen some budget decks that I personally thought were beast.

Having played against Tron, Birthing Pod, Affinity, etc... Some of the decks North posts I can see being solid contenders. I have a mono black aggro deck that won a few matches in a local tournament and North posted an Elephant deck that I bought for my girlfriend that beats my aggro deck. Granted it's not some $300-3000 deck, but with some adjustments (a sideboard) the decks can be really good, since the premise has already been laid out.

Again, referring to BigGeorge, the decks give people ideas to try out. I don't know the statistics but I would bet that the vast population of MTG players do not compete in events, so coming to a site like this and looking around can be entertaining and gear turning (thought provoking).

Im not really looking to see the top tier decks, i myself cant afford to make a deck thats worth 1000 dollars. But i can afford to make a deck thats around 500 dollars by buying pieces of it at a time. What i want to do is make a tournament quality deck, that isnt currently being played, kind of like my modern black devotion deck. But like you said, most of the people on here aren't playing competitively, therefore cant give any reasonable advice. Thanks for your suggestions guys

You just have to make sure of the deck search and stop paying attention to the "hot" page. Just because a deck has made it to the "Hot" page doesn't mean it'll win the next tournament. If you really want to build a competitive deck for any specific format, MTGVault is probably not the site for you, although I am sure there are pretty good deck builders here including those that attend tourneys as well. You just have to put more effort into finding them. And into helping out others first before getting help yourself.

This is more of a network type of site. If you want straight and tournament worthy deck help, you'd be better off googling the type of deck you want to play and read tournament reports anyway. Going competitive actually means a lot of netdecking and numbercrunching and hundreds of slight variants of the same one or two dozens of deck types. Which is excatly the opposite of what casual is about. Unless you want to play a rogue deck that you created yourself - but that's always hard and you are mostly on your own.

And basically it boils down to something else anyway: You upload your decks and no matter how well made they are, you get only very few or even no reponses. Then you check the "hot" page and see decks getting shittons of attention but you fail to see why. I went through this myself. People flock to the hot page for many different reasons and all of them suck. But the key is: There is nothing you can do about it.
So, keep it low and humble, try to help others and make friends doing so and after some time you have your own small but loyal club of buddies that will check your newest creation when you ask them to. That's what I did. That's what Northy did. That's what Jessie did. That's what Hokey did. Some of us get lucky and the attention of the masses and when that happens, it gets hyped so you'll get proportionally more atention then deserved, but that's how the masses work. Northy made it, Jessie made it, I failed. But if I really need help on a deck I know I can drop a line and people like Jessie, Hokey or George will check it out.

I think that the decks on the hot list are like how a format changes. right now, the format is mainly budget decks, but if someone comes up with some new cool archatype and everyone starts building decks like that or they get new Ideas, then maybe those decks don't have such cheap cards so budget decks start falling out. Like maybe the next set will have a much higher power level, so people will be less exited about budget decks because there are new more fun cards to use. The problem was theros was an extremely low power level set so a expensive deck wasn't very fun looking so budget decks had a huge opening to be played. At least if they do another set that is as powerful as Shards, then budget would get crushed. Maybe they will print a bunch of extreme cards in fate reforged and then all kinds of new decks will be on the hot page. :)

Also there is a distinct lack of use in the resources this site offers. Like deck tags, if I see a deck with the tag of Modern or Legacy I will automatically assume that it is a deck that is to be used in a tournament of that format. That being said I also see a tag with budget on it and will assume it is some sort of budget format. If you just read the deck tags (because all of the decks that make it to the hot page have tags) you will know exactly what deck you are viewing. That and deck previews/descriptions, if the deck has them, read them. I don't know how many comments I've seen bashing or questioning a deck only to have the answer be posted in the deck description. My grievances have been voiced, sorry I couldn't wait until december :P

This may come as news to many but there exist players (like me) who love and adore magic and have been playing for many years and know 90% of printed cards by title and artwork who have never played with a stranger, gone to an event, built a deck concious of ANY format. I love this site cause it lets me build the decks i wanna, play when you play exclusively with friends you dont build tournament standard decks because every game is less interesting. This is the site for me, the site that appriciates the satifaction of beating someone by removing all their land witha liquidmetal coating/glissa and watching them draw and discard to death.

I always thought Raking Canopy could be abused somehow. Defy Gravity? Zephyr Charge?

It's too bad you can't get Wonder into opponents graveyard haha... or can u?

Ignore that other dude. He doesn't understand that the best decks make drawbacks positive. As an example: Psychosis Crawler + Gush (the free way) + Winds of Change... That's a lot of life loss for 1 red mana + a new hand + it crushes combo decks that use search.

PS: could u check out my wardeR ed deck? I'm terrible at deck building for 1v1.

Also, if you really want a challenge: Make a deck that is based on the card: Cultural Exchange.

An unopened Alpha pack!
Guess what this lucky prick finds?
A Perfect, 10 out of 10 rated Black Lotus.
Damn! Only one in the world...if I am not mistaken!!

Last one, a 9 out of 10, sold for 27 thousand dollars!
This one is a 10 out of 10.

The record is for the Pokemon Illustrator card.
Only 6 were made.

I believe it was for $47,000.
Since I love Magic, I would love to see a Black Lotus break that record.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MTG-MAGICTHE-GATHERING-BETA-BLACK-LOTUS-BGS-10-THE-HIGHEST-GRADED-/310327005845

The link above is showing a Beta version (rated perfect 10), not Alpha.
And the seller is asking for 100,000 grand!!!!

Now there is a known Alpha 10 out of 10 rated card.
If a Beta is being asked 100,000 thousand for, an Alpha will be even more.

1

100,000$? I wonder who would buy it for that much
And yes I want a black lotus to break the record! This alpha will probably do the trick

0

i think the beta version is worth more because less copies were made of it, so its rarer than the alpha. I think 100,000 is a bit rediculous, black lotus usually sell for between 3-5 grand. 10,000 would be a lot to ask for, even if it was in perfect condition, but i guess it could be more...

0
Posted 15 October 2014 at 02:44

No, Beta had a slightly bigger printrun than Alpha. The reason why Beta is sometimes more expensive is this:
Alpha has those rounder corners. For a long time they weren't tournament legal and even now many high profile events don't allow them (because they'll leave different marks on your sleeves, you could still spot them even if you use sleeves with pictures on their backs).

I think this is a wonderful deck. I looked at this deck a while back and didn't even think of this card, but going through all my old cards I found something you might like. Soaring Seacliff. If is a land that enters the battlefield tapped and can only produce blue, the flip side is that when it enters the battlefield target creature gains flying until end of turn. This goes for either you or your opponent. This can easily replace a island and allow you to give an opponents creature flying at the cost of it entering the battlefield tapped.

You ask odd questions, friend.
This one and with my Black Discard Deck.

Our argument boils down to whom gets attention and whom doesn't get attention.
And what decks get attention and what decks that don't get attention.

Basically, he doesn't like Johnny Decks.
He wants to see many, many more serious, competitive Spike Decks be on the Hot Page.
He doesn't want to see decks like "I give your creatures Flying" because they don't often work, are one trick ponies, and are mainly casual fun.

His other argument is that he hates all the casual/budget decks that take over the Hot Page.

I do understand his argument.

Very ironically, starting this debate in this deck helped it staying in the "hot" bracket ;)

But this is another flaw with out this site works (and how humans work ...), once a deck makes 1st page, it'll stay there foreever because people focus on it and if they comment, they'll keep it up there. Much like the Kardassians or Paris Hilton, lamenting about how irrelevant they are makes them relevant.

Well, by no means is this a budget deck (stupid tarmogoyf) but I would really appreciate a second opinion on this deck! Zoo for the win!

Hey Jessie, see if you can take Legacy Dredge and make a modern-standard-pauper-aristrocrat-extended, anything but vintage and legacy version of it. I've been trying for years, so lets so what you come up with!!!

I do not know how to play dredge...ugh.
Let me look into it.
I do not understand it.
I played one time against a dredge deck.
It beat me.
I had to have my opponent explain it to me over 6 times...and I still did not understand it.
