Deck Description

Modern Death and Taxes

This is the list i brought to GP Richmond. My first time playing in an organized Magic event. I went 3-4 before dropping out to go play side events. Was a great experience and I was pleased with the decks performance. Most losses were not due to the deck but to my lack of knowledge of my opponents decks in some cases and a misplay here and there.

Death and taxes will be a classic favorite of mine.

How to Play

*Jund- Mirran Crusader, Rest in peace, Spellskite ?

*Splinter twin- Spellskite, Ethersworn Canonist, Grand Abolisher, Revoker

*Melira pod- Revoker, Arbiter, Mindcensor, Kitchen Finks > Remove Thalia

*Blue white X midrange- Spellskite, Dryad Militant, Grand Abolisher, Canonist, RIP > Remove Path to Exile (2), Revoker, Dismember, Hero, Flickerwisp (1)

*Robots
*Scapeshift
*Merfolk
*Faeries (TBD)

~Possibility~
Brimaz
Pros- Lower mana curve, Vigilance
Cons- Less tokens/Weaker tokens when attacking, Not as large of a threat, Blocking token and Brimaz will almost never stay alive while blocking.

Dryad militant
Pros- Makes Snapcaster Mages less powerful, 2/1 one drop body.
Cons- Does almost nothing for me mid to late game, Could fit more powerful bodies or Hatebears instead.
