Lantern Control is a fairly complicated deck.
the goal here is to control what your opponent draws, trying to keep them from lands and key cards.

thank you. when I put the original together I am pretty sure lantern control didn't really exist in a competitive sense. so I am rather proud of myself for coming up with the concept separately.

What I could imagine would be additional plus cards but make the deck even more complicated are Dakmor Salvage and Bloodghast. You use Raven's Crime so having a land with Dredge in your graveyard could support casting it from even there and Bloodghast returns from graveyard too even when eating up some of your opponents removal spells.

I also would rely less on Sea's Claim rather than Evil Presence because most decks rely on blue

Hmmm.... Not sure how well those would work here. Bloodghast would be nice I suppose but can't block, which is what I would really need here. it is also two mana which doesn't fit purely on the requirements of this particular deck format. Perhaps something like gravecrawler might fit better here at least thematically if not functionally.

Dakmor salvage is more interesting as it can be discarded to raven's crime multiple times. But I also don't particularly like milling myself either. And three cards per turn can hurt me pretty bad when I can't match that by milling my opponents at least four cards per turn. I might be able to still function but I wouldn't be able to mill them out. Also I have no cards (other than raven's crime I suppose) that are useful in the graveyard. So dumping things into the graveyard in the way doesn't particularity benefit me in any way. Perhaps you could explain how you see the benefits, so I could improve my deck building.

Now I could certainly see both of those suggestions going very well in a slightly different lantern control build. Which actually intrigues me a little. So thank you for the suggestions. :)

As for sea's claim vs evil presence... It is purely based on west my opponent plays. If they play black turn I swap out for claim, if they play blue then presence is obviously better. Regardless, I agree most decks are going to run blue rather than black so I have presence in the main board, not the side. :)

Hedron Crab

Might be another good candidate for this deck.

I love Hedron Crab. but I am not sure how well it fits here because I run low on lands and may not get a land drop often enough to be useful, because I have no mana ramping as well.

I prefer Codex Shredder instead of one of your creatures. Artifacts are less likely to be removed, especially in game one.
Altar of the Brood could also help mill your opponent out too.

indeed. codex shredder is an excellent idea. probably a little faster, and a littler harder to get rid of, at least initially. Also, Altar is a fun card, but I don't know if I can get the most out of it here, particularly since this isn't a mill deck in the traditional sense.
