I like the flavor of this deck. It's very cool. As far as suggestions, I'd say either Silklash Spider or Kessig Recluse could be some decent additions, but it seems pretty solid as is. +1

I second the Silklash Spider.

I third the Silklash, but yeah... This deck looks pretty good. If only Aspect of Hydra was more spider-themed, it'd be perfect.

Thanks! I added a couple of Silklash, and yeah i would love every card to be spider-themed, but i haven't found anything better.

My friend runs Revenge of the Hunted in his elf deck to absolutely devastating effect.
Leeching Bite is nice in some situations, but if you're looking for a smashy-smashy card, it's probably not what you want.
Overrun would be a terrifying card in terms of flavor, but once again I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for.
Primal Bellow might be closer to something useful, perhaps?
Tower Above, perhaps?

Revenge of the hunted and overrun are truly wrecking, i'll check how to make any of them work with the mana curve. Primal Below, i think can be exchanged for Aspect of Hydra, i was actually trying to decide between both of them, and at the end, found Aspect first. Thank you!

Great deck XD. Although this might not necessarily fit the theme if you do this...I would like to suggest adding Elvish Mystic over Renowned Weaver for that extra ramp. But honestly, a great deck XD

Spiders be crawling all over :)

I would just like to point out out how interesting it is that meta games play a part in fear/getting laid in real life. How is it that pictures of spiders inspire such fear?

Deck well done! It could even have been categorized into my budget line without Swarmyards!
Definitely going for +1 like with this.

side note: aether vial. I run it in my white knights deck and it is great. Nothing like flashing in a deathtouch spider to really piss someone off. lol

Nice tribal deck. I noticed it's a little high on the mana curve. I know you have Kodama's Reach, but I'd suggest taking out some Prey Upon and terrifying Presence for some forests...or Khalni Garden or Oran Reifwood to help out. Still, nice deck! +1

what about using cards that give bonus for creature type?

I agree. Coat of Arms or Door of Destinies...

0

Or Adaptive Automaton, if you want something with a body.

0

tbh I think Coat of Arms in this deck is a big error. Tribal decks are most likely going to be fighting other tribal decks - And the last thing you want is an Elf deck pumped by Coat of Arms.

0

Yeah I reckon Adaptive Automaton would work best here.

Want your deck to be even more voulnerable to removal than it allready is? sure put in adaptive.

Doran, the siege tower to turn all tough spiders into some beaters! Maybe hidden spider for an early one drop?

0
Posted 16 September 2014 at 15:08

Doran is great!, although i don't think i have right now enough dual lands to splash it. And i had hidden spiders, but changed them to Renowned Weaver to keep the deck modern legal. Than you!

Perhaps Ranger's Guile instead of Sheltering Word in the sideboard there?
One less mana cost speeds your deck up, even if you're on the defensive.
tbh your spiders have a lot of toughness, so it's your choice. 1 mana might be the difference between Netcaster Spider and a Bile Blighted Netcaster Spider, though.

I'd look into Juvenile Gloomwidow and Door of destinies. DoD is like a staple in any tribal deck.

I was wondering why Kodama's reach? Budget?

If you could check out and comment on my in progress "Sac Deck" that would be awesome
