Thank you. It is going to be a real challenge to me. I do not know, before making a deck, what cards are budget and what cards are not budget. I start a deck with a theme/idea in my mind, and finish it. Sometimes the end result is 20 bucks and other times the results end up over 200 bucks. Northy was awesome for being able to make solid budget decks. For sure, for sure.

Then again, there are lots of other interesting decks out here that get overlooked because everybody focusses on the same decks. Budget decks are nice and all but oftentimes decks aren't budget for reasons that can be dealt with. For example, two otherwise identical decks may differ in price some factors of 100% just because one has Revised dual lands while the other has Shock and Scry dual lands. But the latter is only marginally inferior. Also, sometimes all you need is an idea. The deck in question might cost 200 dollars but the core isn't expensive and the deck could be assembled on a budget easily if you made some replacements or altered the structure slightly.This is NOT to play down Northies work and NOT to lure people into looking up my decks, I am saying things like this repeatedly on opportunities like this to make MTGVault a better place over all. Currently, 90% of the user's attention focusses on about 5% of the newest decks. This results into lots of frustrated deckbuilders which in turn results into spamming the popular decks with advertisement for their decks. That isn't a comfortable situation for all of us.
Yeah. I have to agree things could be better. Personally I think that the math screen should be new decks instead of hot decks. Because as is only a few deck builders really get lot of exposure. Although perhaps more builders should put in more descriptions to there decks, which might draw more attention as well.
To my experience, the longer the description, the less comments ... :P but yes, that is the theory. Many times I don't know what to suggest because there is no description so I don't know what the author wants to accomplish.
Doesn't have to be big, just has to be there. Most people don't want to decipher what a deck does with some obscure combo or other, they want to have it explained what a decks goal is supposed to be up front. :)

Scornful Egotist isn't useless at all. You can play him morphed for 3 and un-morph him for just 1 mana. That means, for just 4 mana you get a permanent with a casting cost of 8! There are a lot of cards that refer to that, for example, a Rush of Knowledge will let you draw 8 cards for 5 mana if you have an unmorphed Egotist in play.

Either or; Pauper is a format that usually has it's own banned list and house rules, the rules at my local gameshop is if it was printed as a common it's legal. Of course it has it's own banned list, like invigorate, cranial plating, hymn to tourach, high tide and a few others.

The sky is the limit. I have not started my (although i do already have a few budget decks) contribution to Northy's budget decks. I am going to stick to his request of redoing one of his budget decks that i liked.However...there could be Flying Budget deck.Trample Budget deck.Unblockable Budget deck. Tons of Tribal budget decks. Control budget deck. Discard budget deck.On and on and on. Truly, the sky is the limit. And where is all the Finnish? I think Northy will like the finnish attempts as much as the actual decks because language translators are really fun, in that they usually mess up the translations.
What about a Budget-meta-deck? A Budget deck that is built specifically to beat budget decks :)

Hey guys,My buddy has tasked me with building a Sacrifice deck for him for his birthday. The format doesn't matter because we just play home games. I would prefer to keep the money under $35 if possible. His idea is to sac creatures to buff up his other creatures. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, thank you for keeping the budget decks going, it has given me a lot of good ideas.
Well, good places to start are creatures with persist or undying. And of course viscera seer or perhaps some other vampires as sac outlets. I have a deck you can look at for some ideas of you want.

You should make it black and red, with it with red spells like traitorus instinct and the other red spells that let you take your opponents creature for one turn, then use their creatures as sac fuel for your Fallen Angels and whatever.
