Deck Description

I just wanted to make a fun spooky sprit deck because I pulled a Spell Queller in the prerelease and it's funny, reminds me of the Box Ghost from Danny Phantom and the "WHATS IN THE BOX" meme, so here's the spoopy deck! Here's sort of a budget Spirit deck!

Update: REEEE Why the ban on reflector mage :'( put in bygone bishops and testing Barol's Expertise.
Update 2: They said blue white flash was now dead, they said it was over, well I have had friends aid and all of your comments helped, here's the solid decklist purchased~! Lets roll!

How to Play

Summary: Same as the Azorius Aggro deck, since I like aggro and Azorius it works out! :) Mostly play on opponents endstep.

This is a blue white tempo deck, focusing on aggression and interrupting opponets gameplay as you dodge hate and evade their blockers. You have plenty of ways to protect your low defense spirits, from spell queller eating spells, to flicker effects (essence flux, which is super strong in the spirit focused deck) and hexproof granters (rattle chains) and even selfless spirits saving you board (which as pointed out, you can fumigate and sacrifice selfless spirit to close out games hard!). Always try to play on opponets turn when possible due to RattleChains allowing all spirits to flash, and mostly instants to play! Super fun deck, pretty spooky~!

Fumigate? At least in sideboard?

I 100% agree. How do you feel about disallow and rejection in the for aetherworks and vehicles?

Disallow is good because of its range of targets. Ceremonious Rejection is good because it hits almost all artefacts (the Gearhulks have colour), and all Eldrazi. Between the two, I'd say it depends on what you expect to encounter more often.

Yeah. Agree with DedWards. If you hadn't realised: Fumigate + Selfless Spirit...

Wow that's actually genius! Can't believe I over looked it! I didn't want to run it because once my board is answered, it's very hard for this deck to recover. As well, 5 mana isn't easy to come by, I hit about 4 and that's my average, so Iw as running Baral's Expertise as a hell-mary to clear the board and keep evading their blockers to end the game, but Fumigate may ne a fantastic card! If I can afford the mana. Also concidered Negate to mainboard, but what CANT negate hit? Disallow is fantastic, but at 3 mana, it's more of a problem than you may think to cast, while negate at 2 will hit all vehicles and planes walkers right? Also the elephant in the room is "Where's Avacyn", well, I wanted the best Spirit focused deck I could make, not u/w flash copycat, she's not an Angel spirit, and she's very expensive. Thank all ya'll for the advice though! Will edit as I go. :) <3

As long as the card doesn't say Creature in its type line, even if it has an ability to become a creature, Negate can counter it. Imo, despite the heavy creature format, Negate is the best counter that's cheaper than 3 mana in Standard.

If budget isn't a concern then Archangel Avacyn is perfect for this deck. I've been running Spirits for some time with lots of success. Also Stasis Snare is one of the best removal spells for ya! Skywhaler's Shot I like as well. Scry is wonderful. Revolutionary Rebuff is a decent counterspell option but my favorite is Spell Shrivel. On the note of theme though......check out Eerie Interlude! :-D

Yeah for sure! Budget is somewhat of a concern however, and well in the 'spirit' of going a full spirit deck, she just isn't ;p and as far as counterspells go I feel negate hits like 99% of the things I want to stop, and the others might not be necessary. further testing will be required!

I think Always Watching would be great flavor for the theme of your deck and would try to fit it in the main. Maybe 2 of for the Bishop? And switch him in against control where you need card advantage?

For sure, to the point I actually put them mainboard! I'll have to playtest them but so far they fit pretty well! Was an awesome idea!
