Heroes!Focus on buffing up your small creatures into big creatures with your instants and enchantments. The Heroic ability was introduced in the Theros block and says that whenever this creature is targeted by a spell you control, its effect will activate. Most Heroic abilities give +1/+1 counters when activated, but some cards, like Battlefield Thaumaturge, get different effects when their Heroic ability activates. This deck is very quick on pumping out creatures and other spells. As such, you'll be able to play multiple cards in a single turns, assuming of course you have plenty of mana to do it. This deck features Heroic as it's main mechanic; however, the Scry mechanic is also featured. Battlewise Hoplite, Aqueous Form, Gods Willing, and Temple of Enlightenment will help you get to the cards you need fast. When you have your targeting spells like Mortal's Ardor and Ephara's Enlightenment ready, be sure to target your Heroic creatures like Phalanx Leader and Fabled Hero first. Finally, once your army is ready, strike at your opponent with your strengthened army!Key Cards to this deck: Battlewise Hoplite / Aqueous Form / Gods Willing / Temple of Enlightenment: All of these cards feature the Scry mechanic, which help you search through your deck quick.Ephara's Enlightenment: The main targeting spell of the deck. This card is very useful in Heroic decks, as every time a creature enters the battlefield under your control, it can be returned to your hand and be used again to activate a Heroic ability.Phalanx Leader: Pumps up all your creatures every time its targeted by one of your spells.Daxos of Meletis: A painful creature to remove in combat. This card will help you not only net some life, but will also turn your opponent's own cards against them.
