Deck Description

[Inspired by NorthernWarlord's Budget Series]

Are you new to Magic: The Gathering? Is your collection of cards lacking? Do you need a new deck for your game night with your friends? Well look no further than here!

The power of enchantments is in your hand in Nyx's Constellations! Enchantments are your friends here, as they will help you trigger the effects of cards like Doomwake Giant and Grim Guardian quite often, and you'll have assistance with getting these effects often with cards like Floodtide Serpent and Riptide Chimera!

The Budget / Starter series is to help people to who are either new to the Magic: The Gathering, or simply those who can not afford to spend a lot of money on booster packs or individual cards. It can be of help to beginners or experts alike.

How to Play

Constellation!

Enchantments are your best friends in this deck, and they will help you claim victory. The Constellation ability was introduced in the Theros block and states that whenever "name of card" or another enchantment enters the battlefield under your control, the card's effect activates. You'll be bouncing your enchantment creatures back and fourth, then keep re-gaining the effects of your Constellation creatures over and over again.

You'll need to start off by getting out your enchantments fast. Once you have the creatures you need, such as Doomwake Giant or Grim Guardian, then it's time to bounce. You have a variety of ways of activating Constellation over and over again, whether it be using a creature like Riptide Chimera or a spell like Kiora's Dismissal. If your opponent is causing you trouble, try using cards like Mind Rot, Voyage's End, or Agoraphobia to help slow them down long enough for you to get your Constellation chain going!

Key Cards to this deck:
Riptide Chimera / Floodtide Serpent / Kiora's Dismissal: These are the cards that help you the most when trying to return your enchantment creatures to your hand.
Fate Unraveler & Master of the Feast: A combo that works really well. Your opponents get an extra card, but they will also pay the price.
Archetype of Imagination: Even if your opponent isn't playing a deck with a lot of Flying in their deck, this creature will help you score some hits on your opponent if they don't pull out some creatures with Reach.
Disperse / Voyage's End: Can help you either bounce your creatures, or make your opponent pay more mana to replay their cards.
Any creature with Constellation: The focus of this deck is Constellation, so of course these will be the main cards. However, of all the cards with Constellation, Doomwake Giant and Grim Guardian are probably your best choices.
