Deck Description

[Inspired by NorthernWarlord's Budget Series]

Are you new to Magic: The Gathering? Is your collection of cards lacking? Do you need a new deck for your game night with your friends? Well look no further than here!

The kings and queens of the sky! The beings who have been rulers since the beginning of time! The flying scaly monsters that will lead you to victory, are the Dragons! Take control of the skies and burn those below you! Make your Dragons a terrifying threat with Crucible of Fire or Dragon Tempest! Help get out the big fellas faster with Dragonlord's Servant, then swing in fast with Lightning Shrieker or Shivan Dragon. Show your opponent who rules the sky and claim the Scaly Supremacy for yourself!

The Budget / Starter series is to help people to who are either new to the Magic: The Gathering, or simply those who can not afford to spend a lot of money on booster packs or individual cards. It can be of help to beginners or experts alike.
[Please note, upon the making of this deck, not all cards were given their legality in the Magic formats, but upon gaining their legality, this deck will be a Standard legal deck.]

How to Play

Dragons!

[History]
Dragons have been a part of Magic the Gathering since the very first set was released! This deck gives you some Dragon Tribal support with cards like Crucible of Fire or Dragonlord's Servant. In the Khans of Tarkir block, Dragons have been given a lot more support and thus today I bring you Scaly Supremacy. Although there a lot of multicolored Dragons and cards of other colors that support Dragons in Standard currently, this deck is Mono Red.

[How to Play]
This deck has a little bit of a stall feel to it, as you will need time to get the Mana or Dragonlord's Servants you need to pay for your Dragons. You may want to start off with either Spark Jolt or Magma Spray to keep your opponent's monsters at bay while you get the cards you need. If you think you might need to get the cards faster, use Tormenting Voice to discard a card to draw two cards. If you're having trouble getting your Dragons, use Sarkhan's Triumph to quickly find them. Before playing your Dragons, you may want to play Dragon Tempest so that you can start bringing in the pain fast, or Crucible of Fire to help your Dragons avoid incoming attacks or Burn spells. The Dragons of choice to play would be Furnace Whelp, Shivan Dragon, or Shockmaw Dragon. These cards will hurt your opponent greatly and just may win you the game fairly early. Stormwing Dragon can also help you make your Dragons even scarier by boosting them up with a +1/+1 Counter.
On the sideboard, you are given a few cards that might help in certain situations. Thundebreak Regent makes it so that your opponent will think twice before targeting your Dragons ; Shatter helps remove Artifacts that might be a part of your opponent's plan; Circle of Flame will keep your opponent from wanting to attack as long the creatures they control don't have Flying; Rending Volley will destroy any pesky White or Blue creatures almost all the time; Peak Eruption can slow your opponent down if they use Mountains in there deck; and Act of Treason will let you take control of the very creatures your opponent uses.

[Important Cards to this Deck]
Dragonlord's Servant: There's a reason I mentioned this card a lot, and that's because of what it does. It helps you get out your Dragons faster and be a nice early blocker against your opponent.
Crucible of Fire: This Enchantment makes your Dragons bigger and harder to deal with. What's not to love about that?
Dragon Tempest: This Enchantment is very important in this deck. It makes it to where, A. All your Dragons come into play with Haste, and B. Makes it so that every single time you play a Dragon, you get to Burn either a creature or your opponent.
Sarkahn's Triumph: With this card being an Instant, this card is quite amazing. You can cast during your opponent's turn to help you find the Dragons you need, then you go into your Untap Step, get back all your mana, plus have a new Dragon in your control.
Shivan Dragon: One of the oldest cards in Magic, and one of the, if not the, first creatures to have Firebreathing. The second this card hits the field, you can boost its power to become a truly terrifying Dragon.
