Hm, I drew some sample hands, and it looks like it could work! Pity it takes so long to set up, even with Dark Ritual or the likes. There's plenty of real aggro decks or even a little bit of removal or burn that render this deck useless or that win easily by turn 4 or 5 if you don't block, especially in Vintage.It's a fun combo, but overpowered is not what I'd call it.

Hah, yes I know... Trust me, I made this deck as a joke. It is the most casual of stupid casual combo decks I could come up with! I do not actually think anything about this deck is overpowered, everything about my write-up is just dripping with sarcasm. I just wanted to make a deck with 100+ Shadowborn Apostles. :P
in modern, a format this deck is not legal in it would lose on turn 4. in vintage it has no chance as well as legacy. try making it modern

Now I'm genuinely interested to see if this could possibly work. Obviously all the black mana ramp would have to go, as would the Academy Rectors. I was thinking of using Enduring Ideal at first, but I'd have to cheat it into play somehow...
