Cool use of the new Ajani. Bioshift might be good to save your counters, maybe sideboard material for going against a lot of black removal or red burn.

Nice deck man! Love how quick Ajani ramps up. What about serra avatar? If you've got the life you may as well throw out a giant angel right? All around a sweet deck though!

1

but also thats a reason why i put storm herd in to put X 1/1 because that pretty much does the samething without worrying that it will be killed

0
Posted 29 April 2014 at 06:07

Yeah Storm herd is a good alternative. I would always rather have 5 1/1s than 1 5/5 cause threre's a lot more destroy creatures than there are board wipes. Good decision on your part.

0
Posted 29 April 2014 at 06:22

the only thing that is stopping me from adding serra avatar is that i have no way of populating it, so like what you said, would be easier to destroy than 5 1/1's

0

You could throw in growing ranks, but it would change the theme of the deck. I think storm herd is a better option for you.

Alright, here's my 2 cents:

Let's start with the obvious. Take out Barren Blessing; you are trying to win by satisfying Felidar Sovereign with lifegain. Since he costs so much, he is obviously the last card in the combo you will play.

Now, onto deck streamlining! My favorite part! Everyone has to do it; Northern is the only player I have met who can make decks darn near perfect without revision.

Let's refine the deck's strategy and make the deck leaner and meaner. (We will take care of that abominable mana curve later).
You stated this is a life gain deck. There are multiple ways to approach this. PURE lifegain - either in order to pump your enchantments and creatures, or gain so much life the enemy CAN'T kill you, is more of a mono-white thing. I think you should use it to give yourself breathing room (you are able to let guys not be blocked, like if they have deathtouch) and make your opponents think twice about attacking, since this strategy works best with green. It also combos well with the unstated theme of indestructibility you having going.
Secondly, you like enchantments. So free yourself and use more than one of each! This will also make the deck more consistent. Therefore, this is now an enchantment deck! Let's get down to it then.

Creatures (keep in mind that you want 8 1-mana creatures, and only 4 6-mana creatures. This rule is readily broken, but stick with it, since this is a traditional because it's green-white. your main problem here is a few creatures that don't fit your theme and too few starting creatures.

Fleecemane Lion - cut it! it's too expensive with the monstrosity ability, and it doesn't benefit from enchantments
Krond the Dawn Clad - cut it! only 1 6 mana creature, and that's Felidar Sovereign
Sigarda Host of Herons - cut it! again, it's 5 mana, and you must lower your mana curve.
Wilt leaf liege - oh man are you going to not like my advice here, but cut her. You need that 4-mana slot for other things, and you don't have many multicolored permanents you will be keeping. =(.
Dauntless escort - tough call, but he's history. Instants will take his place.
Elderwood Scion - mana cost again ... he's gone.

Ah .. feel all that breathing room?
Add Deadly Recluse. A good spider, with deathtouch. Just wait till he is stroner =)
Rhox Faithmender - it's a REALLY nice card, but ... you aren't here for pure lifegain. This is a tough call, but you might have to cut it. With green, you want to think about blocking enemies, not just RAMPING up your health. He's a card specialized for pure lifegain decks, which yours is not. =(. On the other hand, now you have room for ... Ajani's Chosen! Hehehe .... let the enchantments rain from the sky!
Goldenglow moth - It looks cute now, but wait until it reaches BEEFY levels.

Alright, to summarize, you now have 18 creatures.
3 Anjani's Pridemate
3 Felidar Sovereign
3 Serra Ascendent
3 Goldenglow Moth
3 Deadly Recluse
3 Anjani's Chosen

Now let's back these dudes up with some sick enchantments!

Umm.... most of your enchantments cost a lot. You want a load of cheap ones.

Let's just keep Felidar, Hyena, and Rancor.
Bring in Forced Adaptation, and Trollhide Armor.

Viola! Aim for 15 spells.

For artifacts, consider inflitrator's lens or skullclamp for card draw, 3 of one or the other.

Just have the instant Rest for the Weary x4.

You don't have much space for a planeswalker.

Well, just add some removal. Crushing Vines will work nicely. Bring 3!

20 lands.

That's 70 cards! Oh no ... now just slim this down to 60 by taking out 10 cards (choose wisely), and you are golden!

There are some decent green life gain cards that pair very nicely with white. If you find yourself in a jam to where your green is heavily outweighed by white. There's always predators rapport ( which I've gained around 100 life points with numerous times), bountiful harvest is nice but more of late game save your @$$ kind of card. Then there's always the roaring primadox/ Nyleas disciple combo.

If this is going for an enchantment theme, like KnightoftheHokeyPokey said, I would definitely suggest Ethereal Armor. One-drop that gives your creature +1/+1 for every enchantment you control. Trust me, it stacks pretty damn fast.

0
Posted 29 April 2014 at 14:48

That's a good suggestion. If can enchant lifelink onto your creatures, pop Ethereal Armor and Felidar Umbra onto Student of Warfare or Fabled Hero or Mirran Crusader. Double strike = double the fun! Hopeful Eidolon and other enchantment-creatures are nice as well.

Have you checked out Wall of Reverence? Getting life on a turn by turn basis just for having on the field has made it one of my favorite lifegain cards, not to mention it's an excellent 1/6 flyer (with defender, it is a wall) to keep opposing creatures from getting through to your life total, not to mention it works excellently with Ajani's Pridemate, which for some reason i notice are not on your list. Also if you're looking for card advantage check out Well of Lost Dreams

I still think you should focus on 2 or 3 enchantments, instead of having 8 of them with 1 card for each.

1

which enchantments do you think i should focus on?

0
Posted 29 April 2014 at 18:44

well, you already have rhox faithmender, so do you really need boon reflection? it is a bit expensive at 5 mana when you already have a creature that does the same thing. felidar umbra is useful, particularly because you can swap it between different creatures.

hyena umbra is fantastic, but I think that (as suggested above) ethereal armor is way better. so perhaps swap those? unless you have it in here strictly for the Totem armor, and protection that it gives. in which case... then I would suggest upping the number of hyena umbras that you have, and dropping the most expensive stuff like (and I hate saying this) celestial mantle. just too expensive. 6 mana, and it isn't a game winning card, because your goal isn't really to deal damage with this deck, or to even attack with it.

collective blessing is good, but again it is really expensive. I played with a selesnya populate deck and had... 2 (I think) in it, but I rarely got them out because of the mana cost. that is another one to think about dropping.

Rancor: Now normally I would say to run as many of these as you can. but again, the goal of this deck isn't really to beat your opponent by attacking them. it doesn't gain you life or draw you cards so... yeah... :(

in fact, most of your enchantments don't gain you life or draw for you.

I would suggest trying to find some other cheap enchantments to do either of those , and they would suit this deck better than most of what you have in the main board. at least that's my opinion. not that you have BAD cards in here, they just seem to be a bit... contradictory? perhaps?

0
Posted 29 April 2014 at 20:48

Thanks for backing me up man! I agree with you, m
cards must be cheaper and better fitted to the deck. Eidolon of Countless Battles would be very nice. Low CMC lifelink: Knight of Meadowgrain, Lifelink, Basilisk Collar, Felidar Umbra, and Hopeful Eiolodon.

You may want to consider Celestial Mantle as an enchantment for this. Also, tossing in a Rogue's Passage or two to make the occasional unblockable creature wouldn't go amiss.

I would take out Boon Reflection, Bow of Nylea, Wilt-Leaf Liege and Collective Blessing maybe. Then I would add Wall of Reverence, it works very well with Ajani Goldmane's ultimate, as it basically doubles your life every turn.

personally I would say to take rest for the weary over heroes reunion. but that is my opinion. 1W t ocast, gain 4 life, if you had landfall that turn you gain 8 life instead. but both cards are good. :)

I really do think that this is an interesting deck, which is strange because I don't like straight up life gain decks. My only real issue here is that you have lots o mana heavy cards, and those tend to be to slow to work well, or unplayable. particularly for white, because it really doesn't have much mana ramp, which you have none of here, no mana producing creatures, no search cards that aren't themselves fairly expensive (and multicolored). it just seems very slow. but what do I know. I don't play much life gain. :(
