A decent build but it could be more competitive. I would -2 Sulphuric Vortex and +2 Pyrostatic Pillar. Since you don't need multiples in play. As well I don't think the side board warrants 4 copies of Havok. 2 or 3 Exquisite Firecraft will come in really handy in it's place against control. I'm not a fan of the Glacial Chasm. 4 Goblin Guides would be more beneficial IMO. Ending the game faster is a better strategy then stalling the game. Eidolon of the Great Revel would be another great substitution for it.Always remeber it doesn't matter if you have 1 life left if your opponent has 0. Just my opinions, Happy Casting.

That's great! I'm glad the changes are working for you.
No. You keep babbling on about nonsense. Glimpse is as competitive as you can get for a mill strategy. In no way should it be cut for Mind Sculpt.
This comment makes zero sense. You are wrong.
Haha. Ya it seems I've just switched the commander and a few cards to with synergy since then. Thanks tho.
Here's a link to my EDH deck. It's pretty competitive as well. Not really looking for much advise on it, just thought I'd share. :) http://www.mtgvault.com/maniacalmaniac/decks/merens-demonic-pod-edh/
Yes agreed. Much better in a deck that turns the downside into value. like in this case the obvious Madness mechanic or Reanimation. If you had more reanimation effect I'd say go for it since the synergy is there.
Along the same lines as Drana the New Olivia seems like it could fit as well. Again I agree it will need play testing.
Looks like a really solid build. The only thing I notice right away is the absence of Drana, Liberator of Malakir. Prettygood beside Marchesa. Oh ya, and a Maze of Ith.
Just a mistake when I was tweaking around on here. never really left the actual deck.
Ya he's back now. As well as the Utopia Sprawls are in.
Game Trail in place of Wooded Foothills BTW
Wooded Foothills is not standard anymore. Nice deck other then that. I love the synergy between Zada and Silverfur.
I play a competitive mill deck in modern and if your lucky you can do it before you take your first turn. However this will never happen. LoL. Chancellor is not a good strategy since the free 7 wont end up triggering more often then not and will be a dead card in hand more often then not as well. I would replace at least 3 with Mesmeric Orb (It works! Well.) I've also tried Quartering as a first turn play to activate the Trap but it usually slows you down at the crucially beginning. I'd suggest running 4 to 6 more fetches to trigger the Crabs more often. As well the addition of 2 Shelldock Isle will go a long way. Here's the link to my deck if you wanna take a look. It's a Esper build and has done very well in my local meta which happens to be very competitive.http://www.mtgvault.com/maniacalmaniac/decks/mlgnnt-mllng/
Well the best thing would be to -1 Island +1 Tundra.
Why in the world would you cut Glimpse for Mind Sculpt? As well Jace Beleren isn't very good for a dedicated mill deck. Too slow.
If your already running Sylvan Advocate I think you should play at least a few man lands. Raging Ravine would be my first choice Followed by Stirring Wildwood and then maybe testing Needle Spires but I don't think it's good enough without Sylvan Advocate in play.
IMHO Secluded Steppe and Tranquil Thicket are simply better. Are they not?
Oh I know why it's there. I just don't think you need as much as you have. Especially if you play Propaganda. As well I don't think Sleeper Agent is a good fit to this deck. More often then not it will be a 2 damage for 1 mana if your deck is doing what its suppose to be doing are you not just giving your opponent a good sacrifice option? In addition Underworld dreams may be another card to consider. adding a bit of a clock to the game once your lock is in place.
Very cool deck. +1 from me. I'm not sure if you need that much graveyard hate. Propaganda would probably do really good here if you can't get the Web out.
