Thanks.
Along the lines of Scarab God, other then being very hard for opponents to permanently deal with. If ever to use it's effect I would probably target something from my opponent GY. Since if my deck is doing what it should. I'd think they would have discarded something worthwhile. Like a fatty they felt wasn't doing them good early in the game.

Also considering playing Metallic Mimic in place of Dowsing Dagger. I think it could entice my opponent to waste removal on it and if they don't Dreamstealer is much better and Hostage taker escapes Strike/ Abrade Range. Any opinions on this idea.
Keep in mind I'm still in full brainstorm/brew mentality. So naturally all the ideas can't be legitimate. lol

Yes I do agree it is a great card, probably the best 3 mana counter spell printed.
Reasoning behind playing Supreme Will over Disallow is in the double blue mana cost in it. This build is much more dependent on having black turn 1 and double black on turn 3. I just don't feel the mana base in standard right now is good enough to ensure double Blue and Black on turn 3.
It's probably a mistake that time will tell but this was my thought process.

You are wrong about Illusionist's Bracers. It has no function in this deck at all. All of your creatures have triggered abilities. Meaning Bracers wont copy them because they were never "activated".
I also think you're running to many copies of your legendary lands. 2 of each should be sufficient since you can never use more then one and having more then one in your opening hand is brutal. A few basic lands is advised, it really sucks when your opponent casts Path to Exile or Ghost Quarter and you don't get any value from it.

No you are wrong. Equipping does not trigger it. The phrase " as a sorcery" is just referring to the time frame it must be done in. Only on your main phase when no other spells or abilities are on the stack.

Sage of Hours is pointless in this build unless you add a way to put a +1/+1 counter on it.

Ha, Just noticed I made the first comment on this deck two and half years ago. My opinions on Crusher and Lavaclaw Reaches have changed but my feelings for Tibalt remain.

So the worst card in your Tibalt deck is Tibalt. Go figure....
Would probably run smoother if you just played Zombie Infestation instead of Tibalt. As well as find room for 2 copies of Reforge the Soul.
Just my opinions. Happy Casting.
Oh ya, not sure if you're aware but Tibalt sucks.

Stack manipulation is a tricky bitch, but every now and then it works in your favour. I assure you this is legal.

Yes I would. Sage is a cast trigger. So I target Sage with Path then It's ability goes onto the stack before Path resolves. Allow the +1/+1 counter to resolve then activate the Gilder Bairn combo putting as many counters as want then remove counters to Sage's ability. Everything is instant speed and can be done before Path to Exile resolves. Heroic is a little like prowess that way, they both trigger on cast.

Goblin Guide is probably the best 1 drop Then Monastery Swiftspear followed by Goblin Bushwhacker. Not counting Legion Loyalist as second best since you're already playing it.

Here you go drakeraenes, my official submission. I actually believe it's very competitive in the modern format. Admittedly not at all budget but that's not really my style.
Hope you enjoy and Happy Casting! :)

I suggest putting Vessel of Nascency to a 2 of to play all 4 Sylvan Advocates. As well I feel Tireless Tracker should have a place, Maybe put Liliana into the S/B for this.

With Part the Watervwil being the only way to take an extra turn I think you would want to have 4 copies in the deck. As well as Wildfire Eternal being such a prominent piece should be a four of. Interesting deck idea tho.

I think War Elemental could work in this build. It has great devotion and if you have Purphoros in play when you cast it. You layer the triggers so purphoros deals damage allowing you to keep the Elemental and it gets 2 counters right away. I still really must insist that Ember Swallower is a bad card. It's just a 4/5 for 4 mana (not that great). The monstrous effect really isn't a big deal at that point in the game. at the point you do it you should be closing out the game.
Koth of the Hammer is really good and if budget allows Chandra, Torch of Defiance is amazing.
