Deck Description

Geist of St Traft is such a great magic card but seems to have just not found its place in modern yet. The spirits deck has some awesome synergy to try and out tempo your opponent, the only thng lacking was the ability to kill things and disrupt your opponents game plan with hand disruption. Testing has started and is going well so far, will try and keep an update of records.

How to Play

Use Spirit synergy to put the pressure on your opponents life total while disrupting their game plan with a strong mix of removal, counters and hand disruption

Deck discussion for Esper Spirits

Hmm, are the odd, yet logical, numbers of specific cards a result of perpetual refinement or is the deck just being tested?
Cause Dungeon Geists for example seems rather unconventional, so does just 3x Spell Queller.

I gotta say I like the deck a lot, especially the Spirit of the Labyrinth idea.

So Dungeon Geist Number is a test but the 2 has been working because its a card I'm happy to draw late game but don't tend to want to start with. 3 Queller was just the number that seemed to work, I didn't want more but the power level warrented the 3 slots. Its working so far but obviously still very much in the refinement stage

Made me giggle :D Great comment. I wish there were people willing to play modern more often than twice or thrice a year at my lgs, or town rather. But this is by no means a deck that I would go for.

i used to have about $2k of modern stuff, jeskai control, abzan midrange, blue moon. I sold them all off because there's nobody playing modern anymore in my area (From the Midlands, UK, btw)

Dude you know there was a giant modern tournament in Birmingham this weekend right? Keep in contact and if I travel up to any of the ManaLeak tournaments you can come play vs or with the deck :)

Same issue I'm having, been in London for ages but my meta back home in Norfolk is really good so I'm excited to get back and test

Modern is a pretty easy jump though, it costs a lot ye, but once you have a deck you're set for good

Man, as long as you get a modern tournament once a month be happy about it. I am from Slovakia and unless you live in the capital you might as well give up on most, if not all, non standard formats. But I am trying to push modern and pauper, with the surrounding cities having a big highlander population.

Ye Athena is good fun, really competitive meta there at the moment which changes really regularly so forces you to adapt quick. Gonna see how this does against it!
