For post-Ixalan Standard.I haven't played since 2013 (quit just before Theros) and had a really fun Gruul aggro deck at the time, so I thought I'd get back into things with another one.
Overview: Try to get a Majestic Myriarch and at least one of the legendaries out by turn 4-5, or else just swarm with cheap creatures.Every creature except Channeler Initiate and Combat Celebrant buffs MM in some way while also being useful on their own.Channeler Initiate and Rhonas's Monument help fix the mana curve with the latter also acting as a source of Trample for MM.Combat Celebrant is a finisher, if I can get it out along with a couple of the big creatures I'm probably gonna win.Burning Fist Minotaur's activated ability adds some extra synergy with Flameblade Adept and Rhonas (especially for the latter if I haven't been able to get a MM out).Magma Spray is cheap removal, probably the least important card in the deck but I like having it.I guess I could add a white mana source for Samut's activated ability, could maybe be useful e.g. for a second turn of Celebrant if the first one wasn't quite enough, but I'm not sure it's worth complicating the mana base.
