Deck discussion for Budget Decks: Beefy Control

Counterspells, card drawing, creature hate, mana ramp...and trample creatures.
Another well rounded deck. :)

It's to be expected from the person who is the Master of Budget Decks, the Master of MTG Vault, and even the Master of Magic itself!

That was very beautifully said. Thank you.

Well, this deck is for my brother and I would be willing to pay more for it if you added Primordial Hydra(s) (it's his favourite card).

Other than that this deck is amazing, much better than I could build in a much longer amount of time. And it was exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks Northy! :D

Some llanowar elves could be nice for a lil extra mana producing stuff. Just a suggestion.

...and not a too bad one. Though Collamus requested this deck, so I'm not eager to change it unless he wants so. Is it okay if I sideboard them?

Ya sure
My bro likes his lanowar elves quite bit actually

Then it is decided. They are going in.

That's a ton of card draw. Combine that with green beasts and mana ramp, and this deck is a beast when it gets going. And those pesky counterspells are sure to get it there.

Congrats on making a solid U/B that doesn't rely on the Simic Guild!

That being said ... a 0/1 flying bugger with evolve I know wants to be here ....

Aww...
Yeah. Let's add Cloudfin Raptor to the sideboard.

Drawing, mana ramp, trampleage, counters, so encompassing of all Blue/Green stereotypes:
"Big creatures from green, and general bull**** from blue"
Round of Applauds, A+, 13/10.

Thank's again for making the Orzhov/Teysa/Sacrifice EDH deck!
... and another favor... If you could look at my Esper EDH pile? Maybe drop a suggestion bomb? Spread the link?

Thanks, and sorry for my general deckbuilding inability!

My friend collected these before they went up in price, last time I counted he had in excess of 30.

30!? What does he plan on buying?

And how many master transmuters and chief engineers does he have?

but this is the only card that he really collected, he was going to stop at 8 for 2 playsets, but he kept getting more! and now he's a rich boy. at least, in terms of terra stompers, if you would consider that a currency.

I think that Magic Cards are an acceptable currency. Hard to liquidate though ...

With all of that card draw I feel like Chasm Skulker needs to be in there.

Otherwise though, I really like the deck! It's a great, well-rounded Deck.

Thanks! Chasm Skulker is definitely going at least to the sideboard.
