Every since Aberrant Researcher and Docent of Perfection were printed, I've wanted to tackle a brew that utilizes all 3 incarnations of one of my favorite all time cards, Delver of Secrets. Since Docent of Perfection requires Wizards in order to flip into Final Iteration, i decided to limit my creature base to only Wizard type creatures. The problem I'm currently having is how to resolve the two conflicting flip conditions of Delver of Secrets and Aberrant Researcher, since Delver requires the reveal of instant or sorcery to flip and Aberrant Researcher requires you to discard to graveyard the top deck in order to flip. I've also wanted to use Skin Invasion since it came out, and this seems like an interesting place to put it, even if it is currently in the sideboard only. I also have the desire to make this deck bigger than the standard 60 card constructed minimum. I think I could see this deck going up to 70 or 80 and still being pretty even as long as i pay close attention to the mana curve. Also my favorite interaction is between Skin Invasion and any of the incarnations of Delver. It's mostly my favorite because it's a beautiful thing to see someone kill an Insectile Aberration (a 3/2 flyer) and leave behind a 3/4 crawler, and all of this only costs me UR + revealing an instant or sorcery. :D
This deck is a prototype, I haven't actually built it yet, but plan to build at least a casual version of it (minus the expensive land I don't have).
