The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

This is more of an excercise than a real deck, I just wanted to create a creature based deck that doesn't have a single card of type "creature" in the deck :) I still at least tried to make the deck playable in casual multiplayer environments.

As you can see there are lots and lots of token producers. There are lots of single cards for varity and to demonstrate how many useful cards exist that support the idea - and these are just the better ones.

Many of the enchantments and artifacts boost the tokens you produce, some, like Mobilization, are both enhancers and producers. There are also a few cards to capitalize on the fact you'll have tons of (token) creatures (and therefore sacrifice material), but I didn't want to turn this into a combodeck, so cards like Goblin Bombardment are included just once.

Land mix, as always, is what I would play with, which is limited to what I have availble (I have at least 30 decks at all times to support, so most of the duals and fetchies I have are occupied).

How to Play

Some card choices explained:

Braids of Fire:
Many token producers need tons of mana, this provides it nicely. If I was actually building this deck I would have to cut it, though, since our group kept manaburn rules.

Spawning Pit, Tooth and Claw:
Looks redundant, however, the beauty of this is that you can sacrifice any token that is going to die anyway, for example in response to removal. But what you will use this the most is doing all-out attacks and then sacrifice anything that got blocked. This way you make good use of your resources and have untapped blockers ready.

Mimic Vat:
Gives you access to things you don't have in your deck. Only for multiplayer games, of course.

Shrine of Loyal Legions:
This is to stockpile creatures for the next boardswipe. So, don't use it early on. Just store counters and when someone casts, say, a Wrath of God, sacrifice this before your turn starts and you have an army ready to attack!

* Enduring Ideal:
Always wanted to play with one of the few cards that have the "epic" mechanic. This is one of the few decks where it would make sense. You have so many enchantments that Enduring Ideal is viable here.

Deck discussion for Creatureless Creaturedeck

Are there any spells or enchantments or something that give your creatures prowess?

No. But there is Leering Emblem.

Is Braids of fire even useful being that you get the mana during your upkeep?

Of course. Look at all those activation costs, Mobilization, Luminarch Ascension, Sacred Mesa, Mimic Vat, Hammer of Purphoros etc.

I don't own that card. But yeah, it should be in. I am short on planeswalkers because those are typcially the first ones I trade away. People just love their bradywalkers and I don't care :)

I just realized that I could/should make use of populate spells instead of the few non-token related spells I have there. So:

Orim's Thunder => Sundering Growth
Swords to Plowshares => Druid's Deliverance, Rootborn Defences.

Centaurs are one of the best tokens due to their strength. Add a few more of them.

Centaur Glade maybe? I prefer reuseable stuff because my environment is (mass-)removal-happy.

No doubling season? Or any of the alike enchantments?

No, for various (personal) reasons. I just don't like highrolling comboriffic stuff like Doubling Seasons which either goes very well or does nothing depending on your draw and board situation. As a result I have traded away most cards of this type. But yes, that is a legit suggestion.

Strange, I didn't get any hits for months and now I get plenty on THIS deck? MTGVault is a mysterious place :)

Vault has always been like that haha. Way back I have a deck with over 30k views now I barely get 100 T.T

Well, I was wondering less about the flux and more about where those hits went ... I made so many creative decks and wrote so many instructions and put so much effort in many of those, but rarely someone gives a damn. Then I did this pile of trash in a few minutes, which isn't even meant to be played and just an exercise and ... people love it?

This is a sweet deck. I will probably try and make my own version at some point. So many good creature producing enchantments out there.
