Slivers are used for mana ramp allowing you to cast more spells in a single turn allowing you to flip Erayo which will counter their first spell each turn then slap curse of exhaustion on them which makes them only able to cast 1 spell each turn. The result? Complete lockdown, they can only cast one spell each turn and it gets countered each turn. Then simply use unsummons and silent departures to clear their field and probes and divination to draw what you need.
