Deck discussion for Selesnya Standard

ok time for some constructive criticism mate ok. here me out.
this deck would get destroyed in standard. I say this because from the looks of it your main win condition is to create a bunch of tokens that at most might be 3/3 and to attack in mass number. right now, what would you do against a bonfire of the damned? or what about mizzium mortars?
I see you also only have 1 odric. whats up with that. if your hoping on getting that one odric to close out the game with an alpha strike its highly unlikely. to me it seems you are focusing to hard on the populate aspect and not enough on actually defending yourself against things the enemy might counter with. all in all I like the deck idea. but I think it needs a lot more careful thought of ALL types of situations that you may see. I would suggest adding maybe a Thragtusk or 2. very viable and still creates a token when it dies.also maybe run more solid 2 and 3 drops like Centaur Healer or maybe the Selesnya Guildmage. as I said, I like the deck Idea and I think it is an awesome deck in the making but there needs to be ways to protect yourself against all types of aggression. I hope this helps you with this deck mate and good luck to you on in. im also working on a Selesnya deck that is a new twist away from populate, you should check it out and tell me what you think mate.

I definitely appreciate the thought you put into this comment. You seem to have completely ignored the Gavony Townships and Rootborn Defenses, though, which can be extremely helpful in avoiding a total wipe from a Bonfire effect. Trostani's life-gain mechanic is pretty good against aggro decks, especially once I can populate the 8/8 Elementals from Grove of the Guardian. As for win conditions, Wayfaring Temple becomes a beast once the token count rises, and with a Rancor or Selesnya Charm it can dish out some serious hurt, as can the aforementioned 8/8 Elemental tokens. There is only 1 Odric in the deck because I only possess 1 Odric at this time. I have yet to test the Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage, but It looks to me like a clunker who will most likely leave the board before I can make use of either abilities. Centaur Healer is a solid 3 drop, but it doesn't fit the theme of the deck, which is why my Loxodon Smiter is not on the list. I may test with the Smiter to see how it fares, but I don't have high hopes for it. Thragtusk is certainly a viable option, which again, I have yet to test with.

mmm yes I can see the potential in this deck don't get me wrong. but it feels as though, as you said, it relies on tokens to get you to the win. it can be very devastating in that aspect but at the same time in the meta right now there are so many ways to stop tokens. the mechanics of it are great, I love it. but if you happen to not have rootborn defences when they bonfire(and in most cases they run four)then u pretty much lose. and they can just dreadbore your bombs and flat out shut u down. in that case your only hope of winning is to try and mass tokens which can get big with gavony, yes. but I still think this deck lacks the necessary so called back up plan to secure your win. and as far as thragtusk goes, I strongly recommend playing him in any kind of green deck in the current meta. hes that good. and smiter is side boarded in against control to help keep threats on the board so you can populate. also I would try using Garruk, Primal Hunter as well. hes very solid in token decks as a 5 drop. I hope this deck works out for you. I really see potential in it. good luck and have fun.
